Star Trek Discussion - Enterprise, TOS, TNG, Discovery, Picard, Strange New Worlds (Paramount+)

Also anyone else watching Prodigy?

Visually it's stunning but the story is still lacking however. IMO

Just watched the Season 4 premiere of Discovery the opening was a bit dull but it rebounded with a solid 2nd half. Love the new crew uniforms, Still not a fan of Booke, a nice touch with the Enterprise theme with the Archer mention.

Looking forward ro see where the season goes.

Rewatching TOS since we finally pulled the trigger on Paramount +. No way that show could run today without getting cancelled by turd on Twitter.

I binged watched Lower Decks and really enjoyed it despite not being a big fan of “adult cartoons.”

Great, now we have to start all over if you want to watch the series in chronological order

Looks like I'll be getting it for one month a year to binge watch Star Trek. I can't imagine I will want their service permanently.
Heroes and Icons (channel 20.3) has it in the evenings. The transmitter is somewhere near Crossville/Oliver Springs - but get a good antenna and you can get it in Knoxville.

looks good, but isnit just a reboot of the latest movies?

No, this is a new Star Trek Series starring Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Captain Christopher Pike. The original Captain of the Enterprise and Rebecca Romijn as Number One the original First Officer originally portrayed by Jeffrey Hunter and Majel Barret both characters were never originally seen on screen as they were in the unaired 1965 Pilot titled "The Cage" and then later as Parts 1 & 2 of the Season 1 episodes titled "The Menagerie" in 1966.

I'm not sure on the timeline details.

I think all the new Paramount Star Trek series are now a mixture of both the Original Roddenberry Series & the 2009 Film timeline.

Mount, Romijn and Ethan Peck who portrays Spock were originally in the Star Trek: Discovery Season 2. This series is a prequel to their Discovery appearances.

Not enough lens flares.

Was this a result of CBS and Viacom getting back together? I was under the impression that all of the new TV series (Discovery, Picard, & Strange New Worlds) existed in the Prime timeline, and only the movie reboot existed in the Kelvin timeline.
