I wouldn't know...because I didn't watch it. I guess it's my fault for clicking on the thread and then fussing about possible spoilers. I'm getting too excited for December with all the Darth Jar Jar talk.

The trailer really isn't a spoiler. Just a few extra scenes from the official trailer. It did nothing but ramp up my excitement even further.

So, that shot of the Tie Fighters coming in at sundown looks ****ing amazing. I'm getting that shot made into a poster.

I see shots like that and it really reminds me...man, this really isn't a Lucas film anymore.

Honestly, the way it's filmed and with all the explosions it's like a Star Wars movie made by Michael Bay, minus the gratuitous Bay stuff. That's not really an insult. The plot, quite frankly, is reminiscent of some of his Transformers stuff as well, again minus the gratuitous Bay stuff.

The light saber duels in the originals were one of the few good things about them, IMO. I have a feeling that the dogfights with x-wings and tie fighters in this one will be the highlight. The scenes from the trailers look epic.

How? We don't know anything. I know of 2 lines in the trailer that could be potential spoilers IF one of the many fan theories is true, but even then they are subtle enough lines to be interpreted multiple ways.

You're welcome to put in a spoiler tag what you think is being spoiled, but I don't see how it could be substantiated.

I won't outright post the spoiler, but the math is simple I'm gonna tag it anyway:

1. Kylo is not Luke

2. Kylo is not a Sith

3. Yet he shares a destiny with Vader

I'm starting to wonder if the reason we haven't seen Luke is because he is missing an eye? The promo posters all had the actors eye covered and now the dialogue in the teaser? It means something obviously.

Mild spoilers:

Luke's not missing an eye. We've already seen the leaked photo of him. They're just keeping his appearance a secret til the end of the movie. What Maz is talking about in that commercial directly correlates to the text of the commercial.

It's a weird life immating art story. The movie Fanboys is about a group childhood friends who grew apart as young adults but still bonded by their love of Star Wars. Before Phnatom Menace one of the friends found out he had a terminal cancer and wouldn't service the release date so they go on a road trip to steal the an unreleased copy of the movie from Skywalker Ranch.

At the end..
after the group gets caught Lucas lets the cancer patient have a private viewing
