We have won 10 games in 2 of the last 3 years, made playoffs .. you can't do that in SEC without talent
Also we would have probably won a couple games in the playoffs if we would not have run into the suceyes so early … who are far from sucky this year.

Also don’t sleep on J. Heard… idk how well he moves but he’s got the most athletic looking build of any of our guys
What's that old saying; "looks like Tarzan, Plays like Jane".... Unfortunately, if you haven't noticed, Heard has a bad case of gone-ass. That is not good for an athlete, for the Butt is the foundation of propulsion.

Year 5 of CJH, we should be loaded with talented and well developed guys. No excuses. Hope we are.
There's talent and then there's Star studded bonafide talent. We already have talent. We made the playoff's. Got beat by what will likely be the national champs. They beat us about the same as they did Oregon who was the #1. Teams like Georgia, Alabama, OHST, are getting Star Studded Bonafide talent.
Bottom line is we need another $5M a year in NIL money to get in the elite teams mix. That's not a CJH problem.

So if our problem is five million dollars, where do we get that🤩?
That would be a Danny White and possibly Donde and Boyd question.
Raise more money from a lot more regular small donors or from a few mega wealthy ones.

Seems a little early in his career to draw conclusions. True Freshman with as much playing time as any of our other HS recruits. Also, pretty sure 2024 was his first year playing OL. May not contribute until his junior or senior year for that reason alone. 🤷‍♂️

Because in this day of College Football, if he felt in danger of losing his spot, he would be off to the portal. He would not be wearing Orange.
Sorry, I was referring to Perry. I was agreeing with you and saying why not put him at center.

Not sure if I am right but didn't CJH come in Jan of 21? The class was already signed by Pruitt-not CJH picks and then he lost LOTS of talent that transferred out.
He just finished his 4th recruiting class(22,23,24,25) and each year it's gotten better. If we made it to the playoffs with "less talent", can we assume that we'll get better as we get better guys? It's trending way up!

That is the question, isn't it? How do we magically find 25% more money than we already have? We, as the fans who want the wins, are responsible for donating and being active about it. Why wait for Danny to call? Send the money yourself today. That's the real issue. We want the wins. We know the money isn't there. Yet we as fans aren't willing to contribute for the most part. We are all waiting on some rich guy to do it for us. Sure. There going to be some wise a$$ here on VN who's going to crow about the $100 he sent. But what about the hundreds of thousands of UT fans who don't contribute a dime? It's easier to complain about the problem than it is to fix it.

How about a telethon hosted by Peyton Manning and Dolly Parton?

You are not seriously saying that the first two recruiting years and we were still under the NCAA mushroom cloud should be part of the 5 year calculus, are you?
I'm saying we recruited 5 o-lineman in '22, and 5 in '23. There's also a transfer portal. We need to see development and results from JH's recruits next year. As of now, we really haven't. That doesn't mean we won't. I don't know. But there's a class of fans who ALWAYS have an excuse. Reminder: In four years, our offense looked best in year two, when sanctions and everything else would have come much more into play than year 5.

If the O-Line takes a step back (or stays the same), I feel like 9-3 is the ceiling next year, with 7-5 or 8-4 being more likely.
Could be. I find it hard to think we take a step back though.

Biggest questions I have are how good is Satterwhite and how will we utilize Perry? Reports on him have been good, but we've got other NFL talent at OT. Does he remain a depth piece, or do we move him inside to upgrade LG or C?

Also, is there a guy in the group of Satterwhite, Umarov, Perry, Warren, Anderson, J. Heard, Duncan, Bussell, and Ginther prepared and able to make a big sophomore jump? That's a big group of big boys. Can any of them surprise us? What if two of them surprise us? There are four 4-star recruits in that list, and Perry isn't one of them.

starter/backup

LT: Heard/Benett/Grant
LG: Moe/Ayden Bussell/Ginther
C: Satterwhite/Jesse Perry/Max Anderson
RG: Karic/Uramov/Reddick
RT: Larry Johnson/Sanders/Perry
LJ won’t start over Sanders. If he does, we have problems.
