What's that old saying; "looks like Tarzan, Plays like Jane".... Unfortunately, if you haven't noticed, Heard has a bad case of gone-ass. That is not good for an athlete, for the Butt is the foundation of propulsion. Also don’t sleep on J. Heard… idk how well he moves but he’s got the most athletic looking build of any of our guys
There's talent and then there's Star studded bonafide talent. We already have talent. We made the playoff's. Got beat by what will likely be the national champs. They beat us about the same as they did Oregon who was the #1. Teams like Georgia, Alabama, OHST, are getting Star Studded Bonafide talent.Year 5 of CJH, we should be loaded with talented and well developed guys. No excuses. Hope we are.
So if our problem is five million dollars, where do we get thatThere's talent and then there's Star studded bonafide talent. We already have talent. We made the playoff's. Bottom line is we need another $5M a year in NIL money to get in the elite teams mix. That's not a CJH problem.
Seems a little early in his career to draw conclusions. True Freshman with as much playing time as any of our other HS recruits. Also, pretty sure 2024 was his first year playing OL. May not contribute until his junior or senior year for that reason alone. What's that old saying; "looks like Tarzan, Plays like Jane".... Not sure if I am right but didn't CJH come in Jan of 21? The class was already signed by Pruitt-not CJH picks and then he lost LOTS of talent that transferred out.Year 5 of CJH, we should be loaded with talented and well developed guys. No excuses. Hope we are.
That is the question, isn't it? How do we magically find 25% more money than we already have? We, as the fans who want the wins, are responsible for donating and being active about it. Why wait for Danny to call? Send the money yourself today. That's the real issue. We want the wins. We know the money isn't there. Yet we as fans aren't willing to contribute for the most part. We are all waiting on some rich guy to do it for us. Sure. There going to be some wise a$$ here on VN who's going to crow about the $100 he sent. But what about the hundreds of thousands of UT fans who don't contribute a dime? It's easier to complain about the problem than it is to fix it.So if our problem is five million dollars, where do we get that?
That would be a Danny White and possibly Donde and Boyd question.
Raise more money from a lot more regular small donors or from a few mega wealthy ones.
How about a telethon hosted by Peyton Manning and Dolly Parton? That is the question, isn't it? How do we magically find 25% more money than we already have? I'm saying we recruited 5 o-lineman in '22, and 5 in '23. There's also a transfer portal. We need to see development and results from JH's recruits next year. As of now, we really haven't. That doesn't mean we won't. I don't know. But there's a class of fans who ALWAYS have an excuse. Reminder: In four years, our offense looked best in year two, when sanctions and everything else would have come much more into play than year 5.You are not seriously saying that the first two recruiting years and we were still under the NCAA mushroom cloud should be part of the 5 year calculus, are you?
Could be. I find it hard to think we take a step back though. If the O-Line takes a step back (or stays the same), I feel like 9-3 is the ceiling next year, with 7-5 or 8-4 being more likely.
