Starting QB next year

I will say Worley starts just for the simple fact that he has some SEC experience. After a few games Peterman could step in and take over if Worley doesn't perform well.

Just what we need. A bunch of quarterback swapping in and out of the game. The position is not going to be filled without lots of growing pains. I see what you are saying but do any one of these young men fit the bill for the type of offense we will be running?

I wouldn't expect him to say he was going to be the back up. If someone asked Peterman about the qb situation he would say the same thing Worley did.

Is Riley Ferguson the prototype for this offense, or is he more of a drew brees style runnner?

I've heard the same.. Worley gets a lot more respect from his team than he does this message board.. He could've been our best qb last year.

Ill tell u what I think will happen.. We will run a west coast type of spread offense with Worley throwing a lot of short stuff and trying to get his playmakers in space.. A lot of crossing routes/hitches stuff like that to go along with a good running game, thanks to our stacked line.. We will score points next year.

Kinda of like what Meyer had to do with Chris Leake?

I have a friend who is a UT player's roomie. He said a lot of players like woorley more than bray anyway. I hope they like peterman just as much.

Don't all the football players live with other football players in Gibbs?

Interesting to note, a buddy of mine is re-joining the team this year. He said Worley and Peterman are both pretty good but he definitely thinks Peterman is the better of the two. Anyways he said they both have a huge problem with being loud. He said they are both very soft spoken, and people are worried that will cause trouble in places like the swamp. It's something they are both working on apparently.

I was impressed with the drive that Worley put together against Vandy especially after he threw an interception. He stayed cool/poised, spread the ball around well, looked to have good touch, as well as a stronger arm than I thought he had. I like Worley and think he's a better QB than many on the board give him credit for. I don't think he has the arm talent Bray has (altough Worley is no slouch himself) but I do think he smarter player who makes better decision, and I think he will lead this team better than Bray did.

With all of that being said I would not be surprised if Peterman won the job after how much the coaches praised him and his talent last year as a true freshman. He had a year to redshirt and get stronger physically and adjust some to the speed of the college game in practice. He is a better athlete than Worley and a perfect fit for CBJ'S offense (from what I've read about it at least). And he and Worley are both brand new to the offense so it's not like Worley has a leg up on him any longer in that regard. It's nice to have multiple talented QBs capable of winning us games and the battle next year should be very interesting. I think we will be in a good position at QB either way and can't wait to see how it pans out.

I would be surprised if Worley is not the starter. CBJ is going to coach and run his game plan to the talents of the players he has, Worley will fit in well.

I know very little, but I have a good feeling about Worley, Peterman, and Ferguson. It's been a long time since we have been this deep at QB. None of them has done anything to this point, but I like the attitude, maturity, and potential of this group.

No. Some universities require students and/or student-athletes to live in dorms until a certain year (eg Junior) or age (21) unless can commute from home or have cause to live off campus. A lot of freshman/sophomores live in dorms on campuses but after that it is a mixed bag of who stays in dorms and who moves to off campus housing (to drink, party, privacy, throw beer bottles at neighbors cars etc) and who can afford to outside their schollie

A Junior with 5 starts and even more game experience vs a RS Freshman who's never seen the field or taken a single snap. Pretty obvious choice here...

Riley Ferguson

Worley has the fastest fourty for current QB's. He ran the same offense in high school I believe.

It could always be worse. We could have Matt Simms playing quarterback. Ill take any of the three over him.

I am going to have to strongly disagree here. Especially with Collaros. Dude was a game changer. Worley has never had a good game outside of MTSU. Maybe Worley will eventually be better than Collaros, but right now it's not even close.

How do you think Collaros would've done had he been put in the same situations that Worley has faced as a true freshman?

I agree with the folks that think its Worley's job to lose. He has actual game experience, somewhat played the same system in HS, and seems to be smart enough to learn a new system. I like the confidence he brings if he said he would be the starter as its really not being pompous, but really imo seems like he understands he is the next in line and its his to lose.

I really like the position we r in at QB atm. Its been a while since we can say that and not really have a potential negative QB "controversy". The eligibility difference between the 2 doesn't allow for it to be as such, but truly allows a healthy competition. Worley the 1a and Peterman nipping on his heels. Will allow for both to stay humble and work hard. Something we didn't have during Bray's tenure at QB.

Interesting pt on the bothe being quiet and needing to work on that. Thanks to whomever brought that info to the board. Will be interesting to see how that turns out and if cbj can adjust accordingly.
