Spell our coaches name correctly if you want to be taken seriously!
Its Derek
I, like all other vol fans, want to get a top 5 recruiting class every year. Based on what has happened to our beloved program over the past 5-7 years, I dont expect it though. How could I? UT has not been prudent in the NC race for several years, we have had 3 coaches in 3 years, multiple off the field issues and other minors issues. I dont know how anyone can really expect this from CDD and staff. I dont understand how fans can get pissed off when we dont get the elite talent. We are not an elite program right now. The good players we get come here for our tradition, our facilities, our coaches, and the possibility of playing early. A few recruits really want to turn the program around I'm sure, but right now we are not a hot program, as much as it hurts me to say this. The players we get are not thinking about winning the SECC or BCS at UT in the next 2 years. We should be happy when we get a 4 star recruit and hope our coaches can coach them up and turn the program around and start winning some games and THEN SECC and BSCC. It is a work in progress.
You know, I think it's easier to say that spelling counts.
Sorry teach. For all of you spelling police on Volnation who try equate poor spelling or grammer with less credibility. Albert Einstein was a terrible speller, but it didn't make him any less intelligent, or E=mc2 any less correct.
Not asking for proper grammar- Just to spell the coach's name correctly- Kiffin was always misspelled
Some of hear what's being said. Some of us hear how it's being said. Sometimes it matters what is being said, and sometimes it matters how it is being said.
Here's an example of what I mean: I don't care how goob ov a spelllar Deric Duley is as longe as hee can wen un SECC en 2012.
True and I am terrible speller, I've just learned to work around it or I'd never get anything done for looking words up all day. lol. It also forced me to pick a profession I could succeed at without being a good speller.
Dont wory about it. I two have been a viktum of orangevol79. Speling is a weak point four me alsew. Try to fokus on the topik of youre subject so yu kan got your point acrosse. It weel all work out fiene. GBO!
Going into this year didn't we know recruiting would be down a little, I seem to remember hearing that because of our need at OL and DT and it being so hard to judge and give high stars to those guys that this years class might be a little misleading, not saying that I feel it has gone great but are we filling the holes with the hossdaddys that we will need for a firm foundation?
We are UT and whether in 2 years or 5 years we will be back. Until that time we can all discuss what's happening now, good or bad. We can discuss who should be QB and have fun. We can also discuss if Derrick Dooley has what it takes, but the truth is, none of us can predict what this staff can or cannot do with this program based on the play of this team this year. Just my thoughts.
This logic simply fails -- just "being UT" doesn't mean there is some law of physics that says "we will be back" in 2 or 5 years. In fact, our modern history of integrated SEC football pre-Fulmer's major role in the program (pre-1989) was that we would be an unranked team 90% of the time, on the margins of national relevance -- basically, where Kentucky football has been under Mumme, Brooks & now Joker.
