I've always thought the personal examples sprinkled in the SOTU were lame but they are really oddly spaced and transitioned to in this one.

He should have said that we are lowering the cost of medications for Medicare pts by lowering the pay scale for prescription drugs every quarter even though the drugs still cost the retail pharmacy the same to purchase.

Why? Do you respect everyone without a fleeting thought to whether they deserve it? Do you fall on your knees every time someone tells you they served overseas in the military?

Yep. Teachers (ESPECIALLY public school teachers) diligently work to educate, and they aren't making millions to do it. Everyone should have all the respect in the world for teachers.

Funny. I know a few that went to private, catholic schools that had higher rates than your school. Quite a few aren't in college. Using this idiotic generalization, the educators must have sucked.

I'm all for it and the vast majority are highly dedicated. But like any field there are teachers that don't perform and the system protects them.

I'm a college prof and our system protects non-performers the same. Most are dedicated

I insulted police officer. The jarhead reference was taken out of context.

I would place public school teachers somewhere around police officers though.
