Outlaw NIL from recruiting and you solve this problem. NIL was not conceived to be used a recruiting tool--but owing to vague
language and rules the major programs have corrupted it and turned it effectively into a bribery contest for prospects. In doing so
they've turned top high-school prospects into money-grubbing mercenaries. I'm pretty sure that's not what college is supposed to be about--
even if the fans--most have whom have not been to college--are fixated on winning games as opposed to the totality of the college experience.

Certainly, all D1 programs below the major-college level should support a ban on NIL for recruiting purposes as it now simply benefits major programs with the most rich booster crazies. It's time to TRY and restore a scintilla of integrity to college football before it goes completely down the ethical toilet. It's about three-quarters of the way down the hole now.
The basis of the Tennessee/Virginia lawsuit is that is anti-trust and can't be outlawed. You can't separate a school from these NIL packages. Its like trying to get a job but not being able to discuss salary or what work you'd actually be doing. The NCAA tells kids they just have to take the job and hope for the best with NIL in that city after they pick it. That's not legal.

I'd love to run into that POS on the street somewhere..........How big of a boy is he?
Piece of crap, all three of them should be fired for making fun of Nico. Might be borderline racist. Hate cancel culture, but I could get on board with this one.

He points the finger straight at the NCAA pencil pushing dweebs for leaking information to the media, specifically to a guy they knew would not hesitate to stretch the truth and lie about Tennessee.

F*** 'em.
And feed 'em fish heads....

The NC2A is all about the Benjamins. I read up on the purpose of the NC2A and couldn’t help to chuckle. While no system is perfect, NC2A is broken. Emmert will fight tooth and nail to prove the NC2A is a “must need organization.” I agree regulations must be in play, but he has failed as president of the organization.

Im all for capitalism but found this interesting:

The most highly compensated employee was Mark Emmert, the President who received $15 million in compensation from 2017-2021: 2021: $2,991,112. 2020: $2,908,114. August, 2023
Emmert is gone. To really screw things up, the NCAA hired a former politician.

If NIL is unfairly going to benefit the traditional major programs, why have 2 teams that never before the past couple seasons ever sniffed the CFP made it in to the top 4 teams at the end of the regular season?

TCU and Washington are not traditional major football programs but made it to the CFP in the NIL era.
Im all for teams having a fair chance and if it’s NIL that’s assures this heck yeah then. The problem has always been the the dam NCAA thinks they had a horse in the race.

NIL for recruiting purposes and/or with University involvement is already against the rules. Inducement is not permitted.
But it's being used as recruiting inducement by every school in America because what the hell else is it going to be used for? A charity? As Chancellor Plowman said, that prohibition is intellectually dishonest.
