Oh my goodness, yes there have been some doozies on social media from the Bama fans.. extremely sore losers and very tacky and uncouth.. I don’t remember OG Bama fans behaving this way tbh

They don’t. It’s the young ones that do it. And I should preface that by saying there’s some intelligent, well behaved young fans of every sort. These aren’t those. There’s also the bandwagon trash fans that are a black eye on whatever flavor of the month program they “support”.

If you start flipping over rocks, I mean everywhere, you'll find these sort of folks. Bama has no monopoly on it. Will it be used to steer recruits away from there? They might try, but honestly, it can be explained away to them from coaching staff on down. Worst part of it is, it sucks to know there are people out there like this "amongst us".

The law changing didn’t necessarily change people’s collective mindset, especially in the South.

having lived in the midwest I don't see any more of this in the South - maybe a bit more covert but it's as bad elsewhere

What appears even worse than the Bama fans screaming such things at the players is that mom of one of those same Texas players alleges that Bama fans were throwing beer cans and water bottles and spitting on the Texas parents.

The kid shouting was immature, inarticulate, frustrated with the loss, and probably drunk. He was just bleating out what came to his tiny mind.
He was wrong to say what he did but the story's a tempest in a teapot. His main authority figure needs to show him the light so he doesn't think or act that way again, and that should be the end of it.
