Steven Pearl's twitter

I'm just shocked that anyone actually follows Steven Pearl on twitter.

This.

Also, when are these athletes going to realize that anything they "tweet" WILL ONLY be used against them in the court of public opinion?

He didn't laugh half as hard as I did watching him with the ball in his hands the past four years. He always looked like he was auditioning for the special olympics. (no offense to retards) If his his dad wasn't a lying cheating piece of crap then we wouldn't have had to hire a new coach. I love this new hire though. Go Vols!

:lolabove: Wow.

You reap what you sow. Dude has been a douche for a long time, the fan backlash was inevitable and warranted

So because you dont like his dad this makes steven a douche? Nice. Think you would call him a douche to his face?

Did you ever notice that he had no respect for the opposing team or the refs whenever he was on the floor? Definitely one of the worst attitudes on the team, and from a coach's son. If you don't recall some of the douchey things he's done, I remember one game early last season where he was defending an opponent, hacked him with a cheap and obvious foul, needlessly stripped the ball away (after the whistle), then threw the ball at the guy's legs. I think he got called for a technical, then he started arguing with the refs like a moron. Completely unacceptable behavior from a coach's son. I know this is just one instance, but it's definitely a trend I noticed LONG ago.

What made him a douche?

I guess he was good at the following, but I'm confused...According to wiki a Douche usually refers to vaginal irrigation, or rinsing, but it can also refer to the rinsing of any body cavity.

In case you didnt notice that attitude was the only thing that allowed him to see the floor. It was what he did. The guy played his heart out and the best you could come up with is calling him a douche. Nice work.

I've given him his due credit for his good play this season many times on this board. That doesn't mean he has the right to be a douche. Imagine how much of a jerk Tobias would be if we applied your logic.

Wait a minute...I thought VN loved Steven because of his heart and hustle.

A tweet changes this?

You just dont get it. That was his job to be the annoying player. To get in the other guys head. That is definitely not tobias' job so bad example.

Yeah... makes him a douche. Heaven forbid a guy to side with his dad. Probably should have not done it but after all steven had been through and heard about his dad i tend to cut the guy some slack.

I disagree. In an ideal world, we wouldn't have players that run our team the risk of earning technical fouls for, frankly, no good reason. I bet if you talked to Bob Knight, Bill Self, Coach K, etc. about good individual players, they would not include the attitude that Steven exhibits on the court.

Well disagree then.

Did he side with his dad, or did he side against the new UT coach and the program in a very public way?

I didn't think they were the same things.

That's they way I'm interpreting this, jp1. And I'd put my money on him purposefully implying it because he's proved in the past that he's a douche.

*Edit: Sorry, I didn't mean to come out at you again, I didn't see your last post til now.

no kidding. I am appalled by some of the fans on this site ripping this kid apart. This kids past year has had to have been a hell few of us could imagine. All played out on a national stage. He is allowed a free pass in my book for a slip up that he quickly realized while shutting down his twitter page. Of course, people on here can't wait to kick a hurt dog.

I dont have a problem with all with Steven defending his dad. I have a problem with him making an unnecessary bash at Coach Martin. But what he said is not worth VN bashing a kid to this extent who did nothing but bust his a** for us.

:good!: Thanks to the Pearl family for some good years. Bruce and Steven gave true UT fans something to be proud of. A basketball team that can beat anybody in the country on any given day.

A: From what?

He is a senior. He may cut his finger or toe nails.

Where are you getting with this from ?Cutting ties from dad I would expect.

B: Troll
My apologies, it just popped in my head. I don't keep up with basketball that much even less about players that are ridiculed about only being on the team because of daddy.
