A 3 way tie at 10-6 between UF, UT and Vandy gives UT 2nd in the SEC(I think). It may not improve their NCAA at large chances but it would be an impressive accomplishment in its own right. However, Bama also being 10-6 spoils the party I believe and pushes Vandy into 2nd. (right now Florida is losing by 10 to UGA with about 5:00 to play)

UF could easily lose next 2, vandy could lose to us and we won out, and let's say bama losses today????

Tennessee vandy Florida 3 way tie... Who goes where?

I think it goes by your record vs tied teams...

Ut 3-1
Uf 1-2
Vandy 3-1

What would tir breaker then be?

If I'm wrong someone please correct.

We win out.
Fla must lose to vandy and KY
Vanderbilt must lose to Ky and us
3 way tie. We'd be 2nd

The records for the tie breaker if Florida lost out and we win out would be

Tennessee 3-1 (2 against Florida and the upcoming Vandy game)
Vandy 2-2 (split both series)
Florida 1-3 (lost to TN twice and Vandy once earlier this season)

I believe this is correct.

Pretty sure if they all finish 10-6 it would be 1)UK -obviously 2)UT (3-1 tied teams record) 3) Vandy (2-2) 4) Florida.

I thought Bama being in the tie would put Vandy in 2nn but it would depend on which order the tie-breakers are applied in. Not sure if they break all higher seed ties first or if they break lower seed ties first. If they have to break a Vandy-UT tie before going on to who would be 4th and 5th then the tie breaker would be UT and Vandy record vs the team in 6th place and then 7th and so forth until the tie is broken. If they decide to break the tie by saying Florida is 4th and Bama is 5th then UT would be 2nd.

I don't think being 2nd in SEC would change the fact that a tourney championship is our only way in the NCAA. It would make a hell of a case for COY for Cuonzo.

I don't necessarily agree that we have to have a tourney championship to make it. Finals is likely good enough especially if loss in finals is to Kentucky.

UF plays at Vandy I believe.

yeah nm - you're right - no way they go into Nashville and win.. its pretty much up to Alabama losing tonight and us wnning againt LSU/Vandy. Which is a lot to ask from our team imo.

Actually I agree and have stated that as well. Winning out and a loss to UK in the finals would be a hard resume to reject.

This is Tennessee's luck, everyone is talking about. Tennessee will probably win out, Vandy will beat Florida, but Florida will probably pull off some incredible upset against Kentucky next Sunday.
