After reading the SEC tiebreaker rules again, if it were a 4 way tie this is how it would work (as I understand it).
Record against all tied teams first
Tied UT 3-2 and Vandy 3-2, 4th- Florida 2-3 (.400), 5th- Bama 1-2 (.333). Then they would break the tie for 2nd by; first head to head- even at 1-1, then record vs UK-even 0-2, then record vs Florida- UT 2-0, Vandy 1-1. Thus, UT would still finish 2nd and Vandy 3rd.

Very nice work. Basically if UT wins out we should be 2 or 3???There's no scenario we wouldn't be is there?

Actually, if Florida beats vandy they are 2. We beat vandy and bama wins out we are tied, they win tie break so they'd be 3 and we'd be 4.

I think that's the only scenario though. So we need Vandy to beat Florida and we need to keep winning. Obviously us winning is the most important part.

I'd honestly rather not get the 2 seed if it means Vandy getting the 3. I'd rather be the 3 with UF as the 2. Also, a win over the 6 would be worth more than a win over the 7.

The way this team is playing, we need to take it one game at a time. Lets beat South Carolina first, and then we need to worry about LSU. Looking ahead caused a lot of heart break after the Bama game.

Beating another bad team in the first round of SECt probably wouldn't change the committe's opinion of UT too much. Be better to be rested and win 2 to get to the finals.

I do after the Bama loss. Also we have two extremely hard games left before the Tourney. I'm not to confident. I'm by no means a negavol, just a concerned fan.

oh ok, well yea teams 4-6 that's probably true, but vandy and FLORIDA are definitely still playing for seeding.

and florida has the hardest 2 games left possible basically.

This might happen but I cannot think of a bigger punch in the gut after the way this team has fought back than to get that close and then lose. And to Vandy to boot. God that would suck.

There is no way we can win out and not get a first round bye. Thus, I would rather us just take care of business and take our bye. With the inconsistency this team has shown on the road, a first round bye is exactly what we need.
