To everybody in here... One of the guys on ATH is a UTK grad. So think before you speak.

And yes, I think LSU did make somewhat of a choke. I think it was a little of both, us coming back and LSU coming undone. LSU's QB letting the clock run out? It has all the symptoms of a choke to me.

Uh I am sorry for your obvious deformity of the brain cell's(probably from generations of cousin to cousin marriages).Thats how the cats name is spelled because my Daughter put it on his B.C when we bought him.

Just look at some of the simple facts.

Scoring drives.

LSU: 20, 70, 1, 25-field goal

Tenn: 61, 73, 2, 23-field goal

The Vols actually had to earn more on the field than LSU did.

Anyone who watched the game and said LSU gave it away has an agenda.

The facts prove that we actually earned more of our points than LSU did theirs.

I can see how some might say that they gave it away . . .after all, they did have a 21 point lead. But if you watched the whole game, you knew that LSU wasn't exactly lighting it up even when they had a 21-0 lead.

If they had given us 3 or 4 of those drives by turnovers, then yes, I could go along with that. The truth of it is; they gave us no more than we gave them.

The drives were so similar that to say they gave it away in the 2nd half you'd have to say we gave it away in the first half, if you want to be fair. If I'm not mistaken we actually did give them some breaks they didn't take advantage of. That's their fault.

A lot of folks don't seem to send a lot of love our way in the media.

That's ok, we play better when we're mad.

Going into the 2nd half, it was LSU's game to lose. They didn't give the game away, the VOLS took it from them! :rock:

Finebaum's a UT grad too and I still think he's an idiot. I think there must be something about the UTK school of journalism that keeps turning these guys out.

LSU didnt give nothing away. They werent prepared to play DEFENSE for 4 quarters. They showed the ASU game was no fluke. Im not sure if their defense is a pathetic one or they just cant stand toe-to-toe with a good team for 4 quarters. Their players started cramping up at the start of the 2nd half, on UTs first scoring drive. UT took full advantage of it.

Most good teams do :biggrin2:
