stock market was up today...

Interesting discussion this morning on CNBC with Mark Cuban, pointing to a significant culprit in all of this, which is technology and algorithm trading. Average hold time now for a stock is 40 seconds. 40 seconds.

So what's happened is that investing for actual valuation and growth of revenues or net income is virtually irrelevant. It's just guessing where the next move is in literally one minute.
No s@!t. It has been like this for years now.

It's heartwarming to witness folks from all over the political spectrum come together to discover the common enemy.
Libtards, conservatives, socialists, communists, libertarians--- they're all in on the act

Who knew that spite was the great uniter!

Wall street ghouls:
“Pull yourself up by your bootstraps!”

Woah, not like that!!!

I've been saying this for years. For far too long, we have been fighting each other when we should have been fighting our common enemies... the enemies of humanity.

Unable to login and view my portfolio... hmm

It appears you can only sell GME at this point if you're a retail investor. The apps the redditors were using to buy are blocking them out from buying more. They're frantically trying to find a way to buy more. I don't see how it's legal to block them out. Seems like a legit basis for a massive class action lawsuit.

Is the SEC going to act?

How will the SEC be dealing with WSB? Well, we have the first female treasury secretary, so why don't you just focus on that.

That first female treasury secretary just so happens to be a complete Wall Street ghoul, but never you mind that.

Put some stops in a few days ago on my big gainers over the past eight months. Gut is tugging at me.
I started putting in stops on all my big gainers after the idiot won the WH. Some have already hit, I have my gains and I am selling puts with the cash to maybe buy them back at lower prices.

How could anyone support the first week of this admin? Have they put anyone competent in a position yet?

So Yellen is competent. I don’t think she was a bad choice at all. But make no mistake she will protect the institutions here. She has no choice as they will fry her if she doesn’t. Would be awesome for her to make a stand with the public. But I don’t expect her to fall on that sword in week one.

If she chooses sides like that then she is not. Maybe knowledgeable

I more meant the press sec who seems to have been plucked from a Chick-fil-A drive thru and given a daily script

Psaki is a valley girl troll. I don’t want to hear a damn word on Mcenany going forward.

Back on Yellen, competent and spineless are different things.

If by saying she is competent you mean she's a pro at selling out to and protecting institutional money then yeah you hit the nail on the head.

You should have seen some of here press conferences when she was at the State Department under Obama. Boy, those were must see items during the Ukraine debacle.
