Had a looong talk with our Kenworth dealer today. Been waiting on a chassis for over a year it was finally built Aug 8 but it’s still sitting at the factory in Cleveland. No front spring assemblies, no idea when truck will be shipped and I should expect the 2 scheduled to be built in November to be pushed back to January. Freightliner has pushed the 2 we have on order till spring.

I’m about done myself.

I’ve said plenty in the other stock market thread. And the stock market isn’t “the economy”. Bad energy policy is on the Potato. Continuing to throw around entitlements as well. Failing to have focused infrastructure legislation is another fail. So is letting the CCP up off of the mat.

I can’t honestly think of any Biden policy that has helped. He, along with this Congress, is an economic disaster.

whenever it's D administration you sing the same song - beyond our control, the new normal.

we saw pre pandemic this wasn't the new normal. governments around the world contributed to the problem including ours - massive demand stimulus with artificial supply shortages due to shutdown policies.

It's not beyond our control - Monetary policy can still work but the fiscal policy has to stop fighting against it yet the current admin is intent on more stimulus.

To start his 1st stupid day in Office, he signed an EO to kill the oil & gas business quickly to this country which starts the inflation process for higher prices on food goods & services. Idiot Dems are dumb. Red wave coming soon to kick out those that want to kill this country.

Your understanding of basic economics is about as impressive as your political points of view. European economies have many unique issues that the US does not deal with like adequate farmland, very limited natural resources, much smaller military budgets, etc. just to name a few. I get it that you and the Left wish we were more like Finland than the US.

You are 100% correct that we would be experiencing pain from inflation even had Trump been reelected. The biggest difference is that Biden's handlers have intentionally tried to make it worse while I believe Trump would have tried to free up the country to get production rolling again.

Correct, no one who is being even remotely honest with themselves believes Trump would have signed the Green New Deal/Inflation Reduction Act, child tax credit payments/stimulus package, waived student loan debt, and shipped billions in aid to Ukraine. Those policies have greatly increased inflation.

Inflation was 9... it was expected to come in at a lower 8.1. It came in at 8.3. It's down, just not as much as optimistically hoped for, and it will come down more.
