stock market was up today...

The Leftists sure are triggered by a normal market correction and volatility.

Thanks for playing!

Depends on if you really believe massive tariffs of our largest trading partners triggering fears of a recession are a "normal correction" or if you just really want it to be because admitting trump might be fuqing up would be too hard to reconcile.

Condescending about a manufactured "correction" isn't a great look, damn sure isn't 'normal.'

Dow tumbles nearly 900 points, Nasdaq suffers worst day since 2022 as recession fears erupt

It can be true a correction was due.

But Trump is playing stupid games, and we are all winning prizes.

Not entirely. You don't think they push certain policies to move the market in a certain direction?
It's almost comical the % of members of Congress who make short term investments in the stock market now. In the past, 15+years ago, Congressional stock ownership was more of a long term investment, mainly from family trusts. The holders of stock weren't looking to sell at any isolated, quick bursts in price. There's a huge difference now. We elect blowhards from the fringes, because they speak their mind. Both sides

10% corrections are normal events tgat happen about every 5 quarters.

20% is normal every 3-4 years.

The markets have been historically expensive.

The Mag 7 overweights the averages and have pushed them to the lofty levels.

It’s still a small probability of a recession. If it happens there’s a very high probability that it will be another quick one - like the last one brought on by COVID that lasted 3 months.

The THREATS of tariffs are still being used to negotiate better deals on behalf of US taxpayers. The competing countries, dems, media, and Trump haters are being very loud trying to win points - they hate Trump more than they love the USA. Except that the other countries have turned up the rhetoric because they’d prefer to keep the status quote of ripping off US consumers and tax payers.

It’s not really a game. He’ll say what the others won’t say out loud. We’re being taken advantage of and by many unappreciative f***s that hate us.

The other politicians are the ones being bought and aren’t going to rock the boat. Instead they’re resisting change. Funny that one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had used “Change” as a campaign slogan. I guess he mean’t pronouns and bathrooms.

Market corrections aren't all the same. Thinking so is short sighted. Especially with the daily uncertainty with our policy positions during a time of high deficits and debt. Damn, it's nowhere near a predictable economic cycle. We are in previously unseen economic times. The international economic effect has never been as volatile as it is right now. Hey, I am all for the market drop, but it's not about me

Corrections are normal events, agreed. When they happen organically. When the leader of the free world recklessly shoots off his mouth and gaslights people like you into thinking that this is for your own good, is when it isn't normal.

Nothing on a global level is organic. No war, no bull market, no bear market, no country being overthrown. You got three maybe 4 world leading markets that are all deciding to change the power dynamic at the same time.

It took trump less than two months to throw the world markets into turmoil while convincing his sycophants that it's in their best interest. The guy is one hell of a salesman, can't argue that.

I would give anything to see how his big mouth correlates to his put and calls.

It’s a major policy shift. Saying it’s simply shooting off his mouth is a simpleton explanation.

Reagan shut down the communists about 3.5 decades ago. Why do the US taxpayers continue to pay for the free **** being given away to rich countries?

LoL, no sht it's a major policy shift, that doesn't make it not stupid.

Look, I'm pulling for Donny and generally supportive of most of the stuff he's doing this go 'round. You trying to convince us that this his recklessness with our economy is tough love is funny, if not expected. These stupid tariffs are bad for U.S. jobs and the economy, he's playing with fire and you're clearly too stuck to his jock to see it.

If Biden had done this, you'd be losing your mind - not trying to make excuses.

I’m not a Republican, Poindexter.
