1007 points in less than 3 years. The Tulip has blossomed.

He has been nearly unstoppable this season. Definitely deserving of 1st team All-SEC honors, and at 14.5 ppg and 10.3 rpg, he has a case for POY. If Tennessee had generated a little more positive pub for themselves by virtue of hanging with UK for #2 in the SEC, I'd bet he was a frontrunner.

It's gonna be Wilbeken and it likely isn't close IMO.

Just think how much better he will be next year. If he improves as much next year as he did this year, he will be a lottery pick. He can be another Charles Barkley by the end of next season.

First, he isn't coming back. I'll be floored if he returns. Second, his deficiencies that prevent him from being a lottery pick this year will still exist next year. It's not really talent-related. It's size and body related. The NBA is an above the rim game, and Stokes is a below the rim player, albeit a very good one. He isn't as athletic or nimble as Barkley was coming out of college, and the NBA has changed drastically in the 30 years since as well.

?

If anyone from Florida, it should be Prather

Just like with the 06-07 UF championship teams, you could pick any of them. They are balanced across the board. Prather has a good argument as well, and has Most Improved Player on lock for sure.

He's definitely 1st all-sec. McRae should be POY (no homer)

The only problem I have with McRae winning it, is I'm not sure he's the best player on his team. He relies on shot volume to be effective, and doesn't really make an impact outside of scoring the basketball, although he does that one thing really well.

Kudos to Stokes for his unquestioned improvement this season!

Barkley is not a fair comparison as Barkley had explosive jumping ability. Wes Unseld, a wide bodied non-leaping 6'-7" would be a more comparable pro player for Jarnell. Unseld averaged 20.6 points and 18.9 rebounds at Louisville. Stokes cranks out the double doubles, but to average nearly 19 boards a game over 3 college years is pretty amazing.

He reminds me of Corliss Williamson that played for Arkansas in the 90's or so, body wise.

He could practice from now till the end of time and never be like Barkley......Barkley was an absolute freak of nature...I do love Stokes and love how he is man handling other players....If he keeps it up, maybe we will be saying such and such can be the next Stokes.

And when people say that, I'll say, "He could practice from now till the end of time and never be like Stokes.....Stokes was an absolute freak of nature..."

Before the season media pretty much said it was 100% he's gone. Lately they've been more open to the possibility he returns.

Now I don't think he returns, but just thought it's interesting how the tune has changed a bit. Maybe he gets told, you're a late second round pick because of the strength of this class, next year you're a 1st rounder.

Maybe he wants to get his degree, who knows.

Probably not bc Stokes is not an athletic speciman.....you can lift weights and work on your game to be like Stokes.....You are born being the type of athlete Barkley....He still had to work to get his skills to match his athletic level though.

Idk what happened to you over the offseason, but you are one of the least fun posters to converse with now IMO.

This

There's quite a few that have turned this way. They're so anti-Martin that everything that comes out of their mouth basketball related they feel has to be negative.

What did I say? I was bragging about Stokes but said Barkley was on another level athletically....Stokes is one of my favorites players.....remminds me more of like an Oakley....strong and powerful.
