This is wonderful news. I'm pretty surprised too since, although press conferences to announce your return aren't unheard of, 11 AM seems like a really unusual time to hold one.

Why couldn't Cuonzo get him to state he was staying earlier? Plus Stokes obviously doesn't want to be here anyways if he put his name into the draft in the first place. Fire Martin. Stokes not a VFL.

On a serious note, GOOOO Big Orange! Make some noise this year!

I am glad Stokes is returning! Only thing isssss he had to hold a press conference to announce his decision. When players do this and they are only sophomores it sorta screams diva to me, just my thought on it. Still again I am glad he is returning and hopes he goes beast mode on the rest of the SEC, just wish he could have told coach and let him handle the press.

Not for sure if there was a presser...I think it was just a release from athletic department....not 100% on that though...

To me it doesn't matter how he announced. Hey he just became a Vol legend by announcing he is staying. Thats press conference worthy!!!

The biggest press conference "Diva" performance by an underclassman was by Manning when he told everyone he was coming back. I didn't mind that performance one darn bit.

That makes me giddy inside lol. Maymon is my favorite player and will play with a nasty streak next year. Opens opportunities for Stokes Mcrae and Hubbs. I love it.

Clearly, he's desire was to leave, but the projection was just not secure enough. Stokes is bothered by the notion that he can't shoot something he was criticized for in his NBA evaluation. It will be interesting to see how he approaches this off-season and his role with the team this winter. He clearly wants to be more than just a low block banger guy.

And one thing of note from Jarnell is that Friday afternoon, Maymon played 5 of 5 pick up for the first time. For this program that's huge.

I think Manning had a press conference and he has diva written all over him. When I talk about him I usually compare him to Terrell Owens.
