I think Manning had a press conference and he has diva written all over him. When I talk about him I usually compare him to Terrell Owens.

It's actually pretty standard, though not universal. Jarnell is the least diva person on the team. He's all business, never celebrates until after the whistle.

Peyton was a Junior and I would think we know that was pretty much a different story? Can't compare apples to oranges.

Again I like the fact that Stokes is coming back it is great just giving my impression that's all. As far as the Peyton comparisons it's like that old saying, "Com on Man." We are talking about one player being the number one pick in the NFL draft and no disrespect to Stokes but sports analyst were saying he would probably end up playing in the Europe league. Pretty big difference there if you ask me.

Looks like from the story that CCM asked him to hold a press conference. So I guess he did what the coach asked him to do.

Watching the video of his presser, really sounds pumped about next year. Talks a lot about "everybody eats" when your winning, went on to say his numbers may go down but that his stock won't. Seemed to really have taken the "he can't shoot" to heart, said he was ready to show scouts in workouts he can because he knows he can, he just didn't last year.

I'm expecting to see much more face up from stokes, and his offense resemble more of a 4 this year and Maymon probably playing the 5 on offense.

I am glad Stokes is returning! Only thing isssss he had to hold a press conference to announce his decision. When players do this and they are only sophomores it sorta screams diva to me, just my thought on it. Still again I am glad he is returning and hopes he goes beast mode on the rest of the SEC, just wish he could have told coach and let him handle the press.
I thought the same thing. He has people around him that give him the diva treatment. He was so close to going pro because of certain people in his life telling him what he wants to hear over what he needs to hear. He also stayed away from mentioning Zo who is trying to push him to step his game up. Zo wont sugar coat his game. He knows what his potential is but Stokes gets starry eyed now he's back to earth.

And he should IMO. I've always thought that he has pretty good hands for his size. He has the ability to throw his weight around like a center, and also use the dribble and quickness like a slithery PF.

“@wesrucker247: Vols' Jarnell Stokes: "My numbers might even go down next year, but my stock won't. Our team's gonna be great."”

Also, apparently Tobias was a very big part of why he returned, they had some good honest talks supposedly.

Diva is the wrong word. He's starry eyed. He thought he was ready for the pros.

Smart decision by Stokes. Tobias had a lot to do with Stokes decision to stay by telling him he is first round material and not to settle for 2nd round. Next year's team should be the best since our Elite 8 team a few years ago. It's going to be an exciting year in TBA. Guess I'll have to renew my season tix!

Wow.

Golden
McRae
Hubbs
Stokes
Maymon

Plus Richardson too.

Cuonzo has no excuse

Don't forget Thompson, I bet a dime to a donut hole he gets alot of minutes next year.

And IMO Richardson starts at the 3, Hubbs first off bench at 2 or 3.

Most pressing concern is depth at 4 and 5. Against teams with only one big it won't matter too much, as we can go Golden, McRae, Hubbs, and Richardson along with either Maymon or Stokes if foul trouble or injuries creep up.

WOW i just realize how bad it would have been in the post IF Stokes would have left.

Would be great if Davis and/or Ndiaye can contribute solid minutes off the bench and not kill us when they have to play.

Look for Armani Moore to contribute next season in solid mins. He showed flashes in games this season. Just needs more mins.

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Jarnell cited a pick-up game with Jeronne as influencing his decision to stay. Does anyone have certain info regarding Maymon's recovery process? Last I heard, he was still limping quite a bit. TIA
