Stokes says he plans on winning at Rupp Arena

I hope he doesn't mean that he's transferring to UK.

:eek:lol:
I was thinking the same thing.

As for backing it up. I seem to remember a lot of UT smack talking a few years ago when UK went to TBA, the year Meeks went off.

I know this type of talk gets you guys wound up, but it was the worst thing he could have said. Bulletin board material X 10. UT couldnt win in Rupp when horrible Gillispie was in Lex and UT was #1, it wont happen under Cal's watch. Honestly, the only team that could beat UK in Rupp is UNC or UL.

Its good to think this way, but to go public and announce it so everyone of UK's players can hear it isnt very smart.

i remember a young man by the name of bernard king making the statement that he'll never lose in rupp again...can you tell me how many consecutive times he then went into rupp and beat those pu$$y cats

What do you suppose caused the disparity in shooting percentage?

uhm probably when we breathed on uk there was a foul, when uk mugged us there was no foul. kind of hard to get a shot off when your being hand checked or bodied. go look at how many more shots we got than UK, this is because UK didnt have to bother shooting the refs were just putting them at the line.

ha...a lot has changed in 35-40 years. That was 5 coaches ago for UK. If #1 UT couldnt beat UK's NIT team in Rupp when Gillispie coaching, it wont happen under Cals watch. UT's best team couldnt do it, but you're saying now they can? Oh boy.. :salute:

im pretty sure we handled kentucky 5 years ago almost to the day when lofton dropped 31 on ya, and that wasnt our best team. i dont really get what your point is here? if we couldnt beat gillespie at rupp with our #1 team we wont ever win at rupp? well thats obviously not true as we beat tubby at rupp who was better than the drunk you had was, with a team that was by far not our #1 team. its a hard place to play that is very true, but your stupidity and blatant disregard for this being a game and thinking UK is unbeatable is idiocracy.

Well, they've been unbeatable at home for 3 seasons now and most people think last years team will be Cals weakest. UK will lose games at home, but it wont be anytime soon. You honestly think Stokes will beat them next year in Rupp, you know he's not going to be at UT 4 years.
As for Tubby, those days are thankfully gone. If he was still at UK I would agree with Stokes.

UNC, Florida and Louisville are the only ones capable of getting a W in Rupp these days. And even that seems impossible right now.

Next years team has the capability of being the weakest if everyone leaves that cal expects to and if he doesn't pull a crazy late signing class, which is possible. As it stands though next years IMO, right now looks like a college team again not NBA.

How do you know he won't stay? You continuously defend your gutsy saying nobody knows when and if they'll leave, you can't say that one way and not the other. With that said I don't see him staying 4 years, but like I said next years tean looks beatable at this point. If he stays 3 years our 13' class could make us talented enough to line up with UK talent.

You get on me for my "If's" and your whole response in based on them.

Trust me, Stokes isnt at UT 4 years. Sorry to break the news. Its not the 80's or 90's anymore.

UK could have a better class next year. All that griping you've done about Davis.....if Noel goes to UK it'll be Davis all over again, and peolpe think he's UK bound. Shabazz is also a UK lean. Combine those 2 with an already incredible class and you have this years squad 2.0. Of course its an "If", but the odds are looking that way. Shabazz + Noel + whats already committed = better than this year.

Show me something that says they are both UK leans? And not a uk homer either...From what I gathered on Noel's from reading his interview today on rivals UK doesnt appear to be in the top 3, but it is early still.

I'll still wait on you to provide the link saying they are both leans. While your at it you can get that harrow link I've been waiting on...you know what I'll do the leg work because I know you won't.

Neither one of these articles which were wrote recently make one mention of UK leading. Im starting to think you just say stuff that you want to believe, but isn't necessarily true, such as harrow being better than Teague and comparable to knight. You need to learn to do your research and get your facts straight prior to posting before you make yourself look any dumber. That advice is free of charge and i recommend you take it.

I am going to take the UK Cal defense they use so much.....Is there proof that they mugged UT players during the game?

Yea it was our worst shooting game and we shot 7 free throws, those numbers shouldn't look that way. If the defense is intense and hounding you may have a bad fg % but shoot a lot of free flows. On the flip side the defense may not mug you and you'll shoot a decent fg % but not a lot of ft. The numbers should never look like they did against UK. JMO

Noel is a UK lean with Syracuse knocking on the door. Go youtube him and watch his recent interviews. Even his teamates say he's going to UK. You're big into looking for links, go google "teammates say nerlens noel is going to UK". You'll love it.

The refs, still? You're getting funny.

I'm sure it had nothing to due with Davis leading the country in blocks and UK being one of the best defensive teams in the country, and it had everything to do with the game being rigged. Whats going to be your excuse if they meet in the SEC tourny and UT loses even worse? Refs again or do you think you'll be able to think rationally and comprehend what happened?

Yes Tennessee played horribly on both ends of the ball (the main reason we lost). But you can't sit there and honestly say that the refs didn't have at least a little impact on the game.
