I think at this point we can say Memphis isn't the choice with 99.999% certainty. It just worries that everybody assumes its tenn because its not memphis. I am planning a serious celebration but trying to stay grounded a little.

I was pretty nervous with Tobias' decision but for some reason I feel pretty confident that Stokes is coming to UT. No inside info or anything like that.....maybe it was something I ate. ;)

I can tell you for a fact that people aren't assuming Vols just because it's not Memphis. Several of the people calling Vols have said it came down to either Tennessee or Florida, so they're obviously not assuming it's Vols just because it's not Memphis.

I think that FL is definitely in play. It wouldn't be a total shock if he goes there. But I still feel good about this one. I don't buy the notion, though, that he's wearing UT and Memphis gear to throw people off the trail and shock people with FL. He's wearing that stuff because he lives in Memphis, TN. This kid is not about games. He has a very serious approach. He doesn't need the drama that some of our football recruits seem to crave.

BTW, I think Skeeter is legit and the chatter is there. But you never know what a kid is thinking. Skeeter and all of us have a had a taste of that this week.

Skeeter's Florida chatter was a couple days ago though. Everything I've seen since Tuesday has been all Vol.

If Florida is playing well, bringing in a player that isn't playing ball this year may mess up chemistry. Donovan has to have thought about this, and I assume he may have even asked his captains to talk to teammates or addressed them himself.
I don't know how florida is playing, and I don't know whose minutes will be taken. CM doesn't have the same concern.
I know some will say that Donovan takes this kid everytime and he maybe would, but if this circumstance knocks a 3 yr, solid player, out of the rotation, the team structure may crack.

I was reading a Florida blog that said he would get plenty of playing time at UF but Arky and UT offer the most. With Powell going down, he'd instantly step on either campus and could easily be the best basketball player on the court.

Indeed. 7:30 was a lot better than 7:00. If it's really down to UF and UT then I'd prefer the 7:30 announcement please :good!:

There hasn't been a change in announcement time that I'm aware of, and this is TN-FL battle. I've felt confident for over a week now, but with everything coming out Vols I get more nervous by the second. He wanted this to be dramatic..I hope TN isn't being leaked for him to pick FLA

No..and Rucker only retweeted someone else saying it's been moved. The announcement is still 630 CT. stokes hasn't said anything about it changing that I've seen or heard.
