My 5 year old said he was "Peyton" in the living room the other day. He just played and played. He thought he was something special.

You are my son.

Using a comparison to your son as an insult is kinda messed up, no?

Anyway, if they beat us again in the next few years--which is very possible under Stoops--the tone of this thread is certainly going to change.

Gramps is what VN used to be. Now it's just full of inhospitable pricks who have no interest in meaningful conversation, just hate because the Internet is a great place to say all the things that gentlemen would never say to another's face.

To elaborate, I used to use my actual pic as an avatar here because I make it a practice not to say anything that I wouldn't say to someone in reality. And then along came the creepy VN cyberstalkers trying to find me and harass me irl. Times change.

Yeah, VN has a monopoly on the stalkers. Dude your snyde remarks bring out the prick in us. Gramps has a Cats shirt in his closet or something. You get these reactions because you're a smug ass Cat fan on a Vol board.

Sure. Saying that this guy is like a five year old thinking he is the greatest qb of all time in my living room is an insult to the adult. It's typical of a five year old, not an adult.

Yeah, I understand what you were saying, it just struck me as interesting for some reason.

Then don't make insinuating remarks. I didn't say that my son cannot be a great whatever he wants to be in life. I said this guy reminds me of a five year old's imagination.

Well, considering that they were an 8-win team relatively recently, I wouldn't say that the suggestion they could do it again is akin to unicorns and Candyland.

I always thought he wasn't that bad...

Well, one man's "snide comments" would be another's "taking up for his team."

There's a reason I don't have very many likes. I don't go around licking Vol butt to try to be popular. I'll be truthful without compromising what I believe.

I can see the reason for excitement from UK faithful. I have always appreciated long suffering fans that would travel and support their team no matter what in semi-hostile stadiums where they were the proverbial lamb to the slaughter. We got a little taste of that these past few years and nearly crapped our pants. Humility isn't a bad word.

Keep it up and the term "Tennessee bad" will be interchangeable.

How many championships? You guys were so bad you ran off the Bear.

Stunning logic. When you don't know how to respond, you pull the lame "look how long my historical **** is."

Oh, and nobody ran the Bear off. He had an affair with the wrong person's wife. That's called running yourself off.

Sure, the gift to Rupp had nothing to do with it. And students, please pull out your history book. Oh, Kentucky it seems that you forgot yours.

You might want to verify that you have the correct history before perpetuating a MYTH.

The Cadillac happened 2 years after Bryant left UK. It was not a gift from UK. He joked about it with Rupp many years later, as they continued to be good friends.

The truth is out there:

Bear Bryant and Rupp

That link doesn't have the information about Bryant's affair with Happy Chandler's daughter, but it was a contributing factor for his leaving Lexington.

The history book comment was about your lack of tradition (aka history). You still ran off Bear, too. Saban could sleep with the Governors daughter and Bammer's would be alright with it.

Your facilities are terrible. Your indoor field doubles as a track. Check UT or Bammer's stuff. It doesn't double for any other sport. It is built for football and it is used for football. Stadium is worse than Candy's. Lastly, you ran off the Bear.

And Happy Chandler certainly had some clout. At one point he served as a US Senator, Kentucky's Governor, as well as the commissioner for MLB.
