I can't stand Bama and I'm thrilled that they lost last night...but maybe the doubters out there will realize a 6' 3" tailback "CAN" be successful. Bama's Henry who's 6'3 240lbs looked more than capable. So enough with those of you who think Hurd "can't" or "won't" cut it as a running back here at UT! Go Vols

So your theory is.....since Danica Patrick is a NASCAR driver all women are good drivers?

For the record, I hope Hurd is the best RB to ever play the game. But just because there are a few examples of tall rb's that have been successful, it doesn't change the fact that the odds are against him.

His theory is don't discredit a tall RB simply on the premise that he's tall, when there are several examples of tall RB's doing quite successfully.

If people want to discredit Hurd they need to have a little more to back it up other than "he's tall for a RB, I just dunno about him"

If I were Jalen I would be feeding raw meat with gunpowder every day to Weisman, Crowder, Jackson, Kerbyson and Blair. If these hogs can create a crease Jalen and Marlin will flourish.

Blair is the best run blocking T I've ever seen out of JuCo. He's a mean player too. I'm not sold he'll be a great pass blocker here, but he'll hold his own and we will reap the benefits of his run blocking skills. Wolfe as a zone line blocking TE is really going to help in the run too. I also have heard Weisman plays with a mean streak as well so we might see a dirty run blocking line next year.

I think he's going to be a great RB for us. But at the same time i could see him being a Anthony Barr type linebacker.
