The problem is nobody knows **** about it right now, in terms of the general population. It's getting no media attention.

I'm afraid it's going to pass for that reason.

Case and point. I did not know a darn thing about this till about 30 min ago when I read this thread for the 1st time and then Googled it. I generally try to keep up with what is going on up there. If I missed it then it's fair to say most have no clue about it.

GoDaddy.com has dropped their support of SOPA after a campaign by customers moving their business to different hosts.

Say it isn't so. I'm thinking voters pamphlets ought to start with lists of campaign contributions first so you really know what you're voting for.

If you're wondering which SOPA supporting business entities you should boycott:

NBC Universal
Viacom
Ford
Pfizer
Revlon
And sadly, the NBA

I don't have a problem with attempts to protect copyrighted material but this is a terrible way to do it and I have zero faith that Washington can get it right.

As one who pirates the **** out of pretty much every type of media, I dont fault them for trying to protect their property. However, as VIB stated, I dont think this is the right way to approach it.

I agree with copyright protections. However, some companies have gone above and beyond any reasonable sense. This bill and PIPA are incredible overreaches.
