Tim Banks you’re driving me nuts. Stop playing soft zone. The defense is horrendous at it. If the other team makes big plays on us by playing aggressive and man to man, so be it. Tip your hat, but stop making crap easy for the other team. It ain’t gonna fly against Missouri and Georgia. and CJH, you’re gonna have to figure out how to get the refs to call offensive holding. Good luck. When our Dline is allowed to be held all night, our secondary is not good enough to cover that long. Earn your paycheck Tim and stop the weak ass defense please. That is all. Let’s go 10-2. GBO

It was real frustrating watching a UK receiver make a catch and the closest Vol was 7 to 10 yards away.

Our pass rush was terrible even when we blitzed

Great game plan by UK and a bad day for the Vols. It happens to even the best teams. Was there bad calls? Yes. But YET AGAIN, it wasn’t the main reason we couldn’t get a good pass rush.

Heisman level?🤣. Literally, not one person on the planet has said that, except you in this post 🤣. I'm not saying he's not playing good, but there's nobody talking about him and the Heisman.

The staff understands our secondary problems, especially without Hadden (can’t believe I’m saying that). Banks was going to stop the run and make UK beat us throwing the ball. Until yesterday, that was a solid game plan. Leary had a career night on us.

Wanting Banks fired is absolutely not a solution. I think an elite DB coach who can recruit and coach is where you start. Banks has done a good job given what he started with. Personally, I love his aggressive nature, and I think it fits well with Heupel’s offensive style. We also have a very good bend don’t break defense. It’s not ideal, but we have done a good job this year stuffing the run game. We have made big strides on defense over the last three years (Banks I believe was learning the job on the fly), and we are going to have to live with the bend don’t break zone defenses until we get better secondary players (and a better DB coach), IMO.

I’ve been preaching this since last year’s SC game. It is the most unaggressive, pillowy soft zone I’ve ever seen. And it makes life really easy for the opposing QB.

I hate it.

Leary has been pedestrian at best. We game-planed to stop the run and we did. It’s easier to stop the run in zone coverage. If Kentucky was able to run the ball they would have won the ball game. They didn’t.

I have no problem with playing zone. The problem I have is not adjusting when it’s not working. We seem to be very stubborn at adjusting when our initial plan isn’t working.

Banks wanted to make Leary beat us and I have no issues with that but when a guy is carving up the defense it’s time to adjust. I’m wondering if the loss of Hadden makes us scared to play man?
