Storming the field has gotten ridiculous

It’s not cool anymore. It’s played out. Yesterday, we had at least 3 games that ended in field stormings…two of which involved premature field stormings, following by another field storming after the game had officially ended.

It’s old. It’s played out. It’s really not safe. It’s destructive. And they’re now doing it for every minor upset win. Howdo schools, conferences, and the NCAA get this to stop? Fines obviously aren’t working…which was a stupid idea to begin with. It’s not like students care that the school is fined.

Are we gonna start putting up plexiglass like they do for hockey games?

There are the field stormings that are pure joy, like ours for Bama 1982 and 2022, and there are what now have become the majority, which is people (not going to blame it all on the kids) seeing how 'cool' it is and wanting to be part of one. It's become more of a Tik Tok, social media deal with thousands of phones recording videos to go "viral".

How do you stop it? By making it clear to fan bases it won't be acceptable and setting an example by arresting some people, I suppose. I'm not sure that schools have the stomach for it, but other than circling the field with cops and police dogs, I'm not sure what would be a solution.
