I actually heard one of our union lawyers once say that he started billing the moment he left his house when he went on the road. They bill when they take a dump. (Grabbed the paper and thought about your chances of winning your case.... billable) Why not? People pay it, because they have no proof it isn't legitimate.LG, you care to weigh in here? I think the question is two fold.
1- are you doing any real work today?
2 - if so, are you billing hours to your clients? As a follow up, of yes, in what minute increments do you bill? 6 minutes?
Just in time for the mid-terms. How is that bad?If by "getting it done" you mean an increase in the prices of washers, dryers, air conditioners, cars, smartphones, computers, toys, televisions, soybeans, corn, pork beef and higher inflation than yea he's getting it done alright. The bad thing is that the real pain won't hit the economy until the fall.

The 1980s called and wants their GOP social policy returned. You're long overdue.
Look, if you ask the vast majority of self identified conservatives and GOP members these days, most will tell you they could give a hootie darn who does what behind closed doors. The pathetic extreme minority are the ones making noise about it, but it gets attributed to everybody right of center in the political spectrum.
Or you can be like every other Democrat and cast a wide (and untrue) net over EVERYONE in the GOP hating:
People of color
Homosexuals
The Poor
Science
Any other religion than Christianity and Judaism.
Women (except to breed and stick around the kitchen)
I'm sure I've left a thing or two out. Please feel free to continue the list if you'd like.
Ironic post is ironic, lol.
I still think its an issue that guys like Ted Cruz and Huckabee still get traction and a platform. But, like I said before (and it agrees with your post btw) I certainly hope the sands are shifting like they seem to be over the last couple decades. I'm also glad to see posts like yours admitting the morality brigade is antiquated and pathetic.
I like a lot about the GOP platform (at least what they say) about governance...so show me a candidate that cares as much about legalizing pot, prostitution, and any other victimless imaginary moral crime and I'm 100% on board. But you can't sit there with a straight face and say those type issues get the same amount of opposition on the left as they do the right. It's just not true.
Here's the thing though, how many candidates are asked about the legalization question? Furthermore, who really cares that much?
People like Cruz and Huckabee have a following for other reasons as well. It isn't strictly about the religious right flocking to them. Loudest screechers and whatnot.
The left better hope that the right does not come more to the center on social issues........
Social issues haven't really been on the ticket for the past few Presidential elections. Name me one Republican running for President that made such a thing a central topic of discussion.
However, the stigma of 20-30 years ago is still brought up by Democrats. Hell, look at the Kavanaugh nomination and the craziness that's following that.

Yes. An appellate brief.
Last week, I worked until midnight Wednesday night and the next day until 230 am, also on an appeal.
2 - if so, are you billing hours to your clients? As a follow up, of yes, in what minute increments do you bill? 6 minutes?
I do bill in tenths of an hour. Today will not be especially high. I think about 6.5 in total.

I respect your point.
By getting it done he has, which I know you support none of these Im sure (lol): lower taxes, increased market portfolio wealth, record job growth, lowest minority unemployment records, less people on food stamps, significant GDP growth , decreased burdens of onerous regulations, increased consumer confidence etc etc.
Now just don't expect these historic achievements to interrupt programming of the Stormy Daniels soap opera that dominates today's mainstream media.
Lastly, Im not gonna go down the tariff rabbit hole, but I will say the only reason hes doing it is to show our trade partners hell take action, not use words. Its about fair and reciprocal trade, over the long run itll work out in us getting better deals.
Heres a yes/no on the tarriff topic thats fairly good; of which I see both sides:
