I never understood the Dickey attraction after he dumped us for Florida. Did enjoy the sea of oranges thrown at him the following year at Neyland. He must have been well ensconced with the UT Money Lord's to be named AD.

His move to Florida was sneaky. Of course there was no social media then, so it's not seen as unethical as Kiffin's move to USC. At least Kiffin apologized on numerous occasions. Dickey allowed basketball to sink and didn't give a damn. Probably because he was perpetually butt hurt over Ray Mears becoming more popular than him while they were both at UT
