Because Mike is that guy that tries to get into the friend zone to get laid then realizes thats not what the friend zone is then cannot ever escape it so he lashes out at everyone and becomes an annoying douche.

Just watched all of the Beyond Stranger Things eps and have a couple of thoughts..

It is the writers fault that you guys hate Mike..He is played exactly the way he was written..they even call him "emo mike".

Millie Brown is going to be a megastar if she doesn't implode like a lot of other young talents..think River Pheonix. She is a really intelligent, and talented young person..Kudos to the creators for finding her.

The Duffers are going to be around awhile. These dudes are great at what they do.

Definitely think it was better then season 1. Only character I found annoying was Lucas’ sister. The other play their role for a reason.

Plenty of things that can be furthered in season 3

They also remind me a lot of Aaron Paul. Who I thought they were when I first saw them.

There was only one year between season correct? Why do I see reports that season 3 may not come out until 2019?

Them and his parents for giving him that face. He's got one of those faces you just want to punch, like Eli Manning.

That's harsh. I was watching him on BST and when being himself he doesn't look like that at all. I mean he's not making the I just smelled the worst fart ever face tgat he has had on the show for the last two seasons.

I binged it yesterday. Great. I wouldnt say better than season 1, but definitely awesome. I thought the episode with the hooligans in Pittsburg was a bit contrived, but they are obviously trying to set the stage for season 3, which will be about Papa.

I'm going to be in the minority, but I think the second season is no where near as good as the first. I'm 7 episodes in and really lacking the fun that the first season had.

Season 2 was better and that doesn’t happen often. I like the fact they got a little darker and still had the campy b humor. Hopefully they get better with 3 but these kids are going to get older. Maybe a high school film by then. Loved it.

Both seasons were phenomenal. I'd probably give slight edge to S1. Wasn't big on the Eleven episode.

Lucas and Steve are my favorite characters.

Season 1 is easily better than season 2, in my mind, tho I liked season 2 as a whole. I agree with others saying Dustin and Steve are the most entertaining pairing in the show. The season didn't disappoint, and that's saying something.

The whole thing with Nancy, Jonathan, and the conspiracy theorist was some of the lamest TV I've ever seen, and I even like that actor. I do think it was a clever nod to weird 80's shows/movies where adults are entirely inappropriate with teens...this creepy guy gave them alcohol, encouragement, and a bed to **** in. Eleven's sister's gang was super lame, too. The writing in these scenes was just so bad. There were lots of cliches that they didn't pulloff. They dance a fine line between stylistically alluding to old media and being plain corny. It often works, but it doesn't always.

Yeah, I assume the payoff will be the sister coming to Hawkins in S3. Still, could have been mixed in with other stories instead of a stand alone episode.

But they just don’t fit in the story at all. It went from show that felt like It/Goonies/Stand By Me to a John Carpenter’s Escape From New York. It really messed with the vibe.

I just finished episode 7 and I'm totally with you. That was like an episode of the A Team. Not Stranger Things at all. Wasn't bad, necessarily, just not like an ep of the same show.
Hope this thing picks up in the last couple...
