Finished it. Just a really good/fun show. Liked it way more than I thought I wood. Appreciate the love and care that went into it to make it feel authentic to the early 80s.

I'm on episode four. They live in Hawkins. In or near Roane County. And Jonesborough is nearby (where the counselor comes from). As a native upper East Tennessean am I over analyzing this info?

The show was filmed in north Georgia, but the setting is "Hawkins, Indiana"

Finished it the other night. Appreciated the nostalgia and the various nods to all the various great 80's movies. Thought Ryder was great. Soundtrack was great too.

Having said that....

Maybe it was just over hyped. While I enjoyed it and flew threw it in just a couple of days, I didn't walk away thinking "wow this was the best show ever" like so many Ive heard from.

I would rate S1 7/10

I enjoyed the show but I hated the ending...

The fact that they insinuated that Eleven was still alive pissed me off. To me it cheapens the emotional impact of her sacrificing herself for her friends. Why do movies and television do this kind of ****? There was nothing wrong with letting her die.

Binge watched the entire first season last night...good writing but I struggle watching movies/shows where kids suffer..the little girl in the lead was very good.
