Our offense wasn't the issue. Period.

Wrong. A solid OC can call plays not only to score but also to protect his defense. This year more than ever our defense needed protection and Cheney's play calling provided none.

Lets not forget why Cheney was brought here in the first place. He was stable guy that was good with QBs and he would stay out of the way and let Lane Kiffin run the offense.

People seem to forget that we did not have a legit/consistent running back! If we had an E Lacy we could pound the rock... but we didn't.

Hire a good HC and let Graham bring in a stud and get back at me after Chaney has a year with one.

Do all of them have recruiting ties in the South and NCs as a DC/OC in the SEC?

Recruiting ties in the south? You mean Florida? And he has still only managed to get maybe 5 kids out of Florida in the last 3 years with the rest coming from...Kentucky.

Louisville's Results:

2008 - 7 losses and 5 wins
2009 - 8 losses and 4 wins
2010 - 6 losses and 6 wins
2011 - 5 losses and 7 wins
2012 - 2 losses and 10 wins

Bold is when Strong got to Louisville. See the pattern?

How many ranked teams has he beaten in those 3 years. Better yet, how many have they played to deserve their current ranking? And if he is such a top recruiter why has he consistently been out recruited by half the country?? Last 3 years of recruiting:
2010 - 48th
2011 - 29th
2012 - 42nd
Current - 71st

Phillip Montgomery, Baylor OC

Thinks,CBone. Baylor and Clemson et al. are all good names. I don`t know why people argue about Chaney. Or Strong. This was just a thread to see who the best OC canditate would be hypothetically. I know Chaney done good THIS SEASON WITH CP,JH,TB,OLINE&NO BACK! I WANNA STUDBACK 98 STYLE OFFENSE,BUT WE NEED A GENIUS STRATEGIST. IS CHANEY? I LIKE AN A&M OFFENSE,BUT WE GOTTA RECRUIT. JUST WHO IS YOUR PICK 4 NEXT OC?

He has a "bag man" on staff. I saw where several people posted articles on this Hurtt guy today on here. Some interesting reading for sure. Strong and the "claims" of ties to the Miami area scream of NCAA sanctions to come. I hope Hart is doing his research on this one.
