Funny how these threads don't pop up when the team is winning games and making the NCAA tournament.

Plenty of fair weather fans out there, especially students who have things going on besides watching a lame duck team play out the string.

I have missed less than 10 home games in the last 4 years, and I'll sit in the other student sections 10/10 times before I watch the game from there. Not a fan of it IMO.

Exactly. Even with Bruce, that section wasn't full unless it was a big name game. Students tend to go to the seats for the other games.

They should have put bleachers there. Encourages standing but you don't have to do it during breaks.

Very true. The section was never completely full unless it was against Memphis, UK, Kansas, Florida, or Gonzaga (I'm sure there were more, but these are the ones I know of for sure.).

Some people act like TBA was sold out every night when Bruce was here too. Lots of empty seats almost every night.

There are about 5 or 6 posters that are aware of the entirety of the student section. I don't think that ETSU poser will believe us.

What posters like the ETSU poser are trying to tell you is that section 129 is the entire student section. Not true at all.

The student sections are normally sections 129, 123, 124, 323, and 324.

I don't think I've seen the 300 sections completely empty, no black curtains. 10 minutes into tip off, 123 and 124 are usually filled up. Some people go to 129, some go to the 300s (I prefer the 300s).

For bigger games, they expand the student section to include 125, 126, 325, 108, and 109.

I don't want to hear this bull about students not showing up when the person reporting this bull doesn't even know where the student sections are. And based off the angle he took the photo from, he is not a student either, and no one should expect him to know in the first place.

Poser? Nice, chris4vols. I am aware of the other sections, and they too were not filled. No, I didnt photograph that section. Im sure I wasnt the only one there, so someone else might be able to confirm. Seriously though, lets 86 the pointless name calling. My entire point is as follows: fans want big recruits, yet wont go to a game. They will piss and moan about effort and talent. Who would want to come play in front of our pathetic excuse of a fan base.

Where did I say entire? Do I have to be a CURRENT student to know the student section or comment? Do you have to use name calling to validate yourself? Show me a photo of the other sections full.

Sorry dude, I lost sight of the point of this thread. But yeah, your first post just made it seem like you were being super critical of the students and did not know what you're talking about.

Point is that the students do their part. They are the only group that can say that. Every other section is terrible. The people (alumni, I think) that have courtside seats all leave before halftime for circle jerks and popcorn, and don't return until 5 minutes into the second half.

It's not the students' fault, so don't blame them.

Don't blame them. Blame UT and the coordinator of the pathetic concessions that seem to be understaffed. I missed almost 7 minutes of the 1st half of the Kennesaw St game just getting a coke and popcorn because the damn concessions lines were a mile long.

Glad I was a student at the time I was. Some of my favorite memories involved camping out for basketball games.

Wasn't any camping out, but even in the Green era students were better than they are now.
