everybody just said lsu was the more talented and better team. they are going to outrecruit us again this year along with florida. how is the future bright again, i must have missed it. also still does not change the fact that it is another year of fulmer's goals not being reached.
Also USC has more 5* recruits than anyone in the country and was beaten by an un ranked oregon state team. Rankings are for us fans to bitch about every year. I will take our record since 1990 over most any program in the country.

i cant complain about the D all the way thru the 3rd
but the D in the 4th sucked really bad.

I think it's okay to complain about a game like this. Heartbreaking losses are much much harder to take than if we got blown out. We had the game won and just let it slip away. I can understand some frustration

Every coach in D1 has a goal to get the NC or their conf.champ. so i guess that about 90% dont reach their goals.

that is true, but trooper the other night said it best in the locker room. he said if we reach a BCS game we are back. if we don't there is work to be done. so since like 98 there is work to be done.

:cray::cray::cray:

Quit complaining. If we had played a game like middle schoolers, cry all you want. We played a great game, and just like the UF game, a couple of plays could have made the difference on the scoreboard. LSU was due.
No cryin on my part, other than the D looking avrage for the first time in a long while, I thought we took it to them.

Some of that could be credited to our offense not staying on the feild. Yeah I know we scored and it was great, but that was the very first play of that drive and then the D had to go right back out there after just being on the feild

and we all knew that this time last year. We are on course.

hey, our defense was fine, look at the time of possession, our defense did a hell of a job considering it was on the filed all night. lsu is a good team, early in the year i thought they and auburn were cream of the crop. as to crompton, he played a great game all things considered. next week is coming soon and ark aint laying down for no one, hope we dont hang our heads.
go vols, with you thru thick (95 % of the time) and thin.
my fervent hope is that coach phil can keep coach cut and chavis...we will be fine!

unlike us they can still win there conference and go to a meaningful bowl. they also have played in the NC the last 2 years. you proved my point, if tennessee has had that kind of success recently nobody would be complaining. we haven't been to a meaningful bowl since 98 that is along time. also that was our last conference championship. take our record since 2002 and it's not very pretty.

and another thing not that I have connections to Ms. Cleo or anything. But I thought Tee was going to be special as well, I think JC is just what the Dr. ordered.

The one thing that really gets me is Chavis sees LSU moving down the field on the last drive does he call a time out to rally the troops nope....
i know our D is pretty good normally and this kind of loss hurts more than any other kind. I'm proud of the success the VOLS have had this year but when Victory is that close 4th and 8 as a matter of fact you have to bring the house.

No loss is easy to swallow but compared to last year I think the Vols have done a tremendous job so far this year.

Yes they would. If you dont complain a little then you're not a true fan,but they went about a decade as being an average program. I guess we could bring Johnny back. I guess the ass-whoopin we put on Michigan a few years ago was meaningless?

Trying to stay positive but in one series there were two 3rd and 15 as well as a 3rd and 10 and LSU converted on all three. Pitiful.

I heard an announcer the other day say that LSU has the most eventual NFL players than any other team in the NCAA. With that said, we did well but we are Tennessee and I bet you hard money that we drop to 15 or worse in the polls. Mark my word. No respect.

I think that 1 was a 3rd and 20 and they got 25 on it.

You are probably right. It is just too hard to thing about so I might have mentally adjusted the number to fifteen. I need a drink.

I don blame anyone for this loss. Two great teams collided tonight and one had to loose. It was a great game and we could have won but LSU had one more score in them and we didnt. It happens in a great game.

We might have had another score had we given our offense more than 9 seconds to work with on their final drive.

What the heck is a meaningful bowl anyway? There's only one that anybody remembers the outcome of.
