So who did you guys get from Tennessee for the Owls/Coastal?
Redshirt freshman Braden May has already been pitching for us. I'm not sure about JJ since he's been occupied as long as possible :) I talked to his dad before regionals and he said JJ was really looking forward to it.

As a related aside, we currently have a couple of guys from Campbell, including Golden Spikes semi-finalist and Dick Houser Trophy semi-finalist Lawson Harrill. He's leaving soon to get ready for the draft. The other guy is Dylan Koontz, and like most of Campbell's roster, he's in the portal. A good guy, he's already had contact with SEC schools. I hope he has a good landing where ever he goes.

Thanks! Did you get the Hunley kid too?

No, we had Austin last year (and we had his brother Sean when he pitched for UT, same year we had Redmond Walsh). Austin is going to be somewhat closer to home with the Bristol State Liners.

Gotcha, I thought I saw him on the roster…does the Bristol team play in the same league as The Axmen?

Anybody ever been to games up on the Cape?

I might have a reason to be up there this summer and I'm not opposed to catching a couple...

Amazing experience if you like the game of baseball. Not an amazing experience if you are accustomed to the peripheral stuff (concessions, fans, crowds, etc.).

But you can walk up to any field and see teams full of MLB-caliber prospects playing hard in front of 20+ scouts nearly everyday. Pitching is usually dominant, but if you see an offensive player dominating, you are in for a treat.

While everyone is enjoying the postseason ride right now, summer ball is underway for some leagues, with the Cape gearing up here in a few weeks.

Hopefully the Vols playing postseason baseball can’t get to summer ball for a few more weeks😀

Of course things change because of injuries or pitchers getting shut down, but this is what I’m aware of:

JJ Garcia (happy he’s back): Forest City Owls
Braden May: Forest City Owls
Andrew Behnke: Cotuit
Matthew Dallas: Falmouth
Cannon Peebles: Cotuit
AJ Russell: Cotuit
Nate Snead: Cotuit
Dylan Loy: Kingsport
Stone Lawless: Kingsport
Dean Curley: OC Riptide
Jeremy Comer: Kalamazoo
Austin Hunley: Bristol State Liners
Austen Jaslove: Pulaski River Turtles
Snead - Team USA
Curley - Team USA
Russell - not playing
Bargo - Hyannis

Well, crap.

That sounds even better than normal. I am perfectly happy to pile up somewhere and watch a game with zero stress.
