While everyone is enjoying the postseason ride right now, summer ball is underway for some leagues, with the Cape gearing up here in a few weeks.

Hopefully the Vols playing postseason baseball can’t get to summer ball for a few more weeks

Of course things change because of injuries or pitchers getting shut down, but this is what I’m aware of:

Guys arrive at different times and websites might not be up to date. I’d call the Axman office tomorrow and ask.

Lawless started tonight behind the plate for Kingsport. Rough night at the plate though, but not unexpected transitioning to the wooden bat and being a month behind the rest. Looked really good at the catchers spot though, had a Stark-esque quality about him. Plus, he’s a big kid - bigger than expected, like to see some power develop out of him as he’s got the frame.

Loy was in the bullpen, expect to see him this weekend. He pitched a couple days ago, so they may be using him as a starter, not sure. Can’t really get a bead on that from the team.

Kingsport lost to the River Riders, 4-3, but it was surprisingly good baseball throughout. Really enjoying this league, kids are playing some good ball!
