Sundays game

I have not had time to go back and look but I think VV has wore us out several time other than last year. VS is as good of a coach as any in the SEC. He has completely changed the overall attitude at MS about WBB. Will never be a priority there but a great coach. I look for VV to do the same this year because I do not think MeMe is big enough to cover her. JMO.

Dillanham was the one to get us one game last year

Should I stay in Tn. and wear my white hat again to the game insuring victory or drive back home thru the snow and ice? Decisions, Decisions.

Dillingham in the first game and Vivians in the second game. Their PG Williams was also a handful. She didn't make a lot of baskets, but they couldn't control her dribble penetration and she got to the FT line a lot.

They have good size, depth and are well coached. I don't think they are the 4th best team in the country, but they are certainly in the top 10. This will be a good opportunity for Tennessee to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the SEC. They will need balanced scoring and have to play good one-on-one defense since MS has scorers at every position. Should be a good game!

This will be a great game to measure the ladies' progress both physically and mentally. You can also add quality of play. MSU will be a test for Russell against two physical post that do a lot of hacking. If the refs call the game right, Russell can get both of their bigs in trouble. This game will require physical and aggressive play. This will be a much more physical challenge then the Stanford game. Our best best defensive guard needs to hawk Vivians like an animal of pray. Right now Jackson would be my choice, or maybe Diamond, minus the sometimes bad attitude. We cannot allow their small guard, William, to take advantage of our defense. She has very good dribble drive skills and is not in fear of contact. She can take a beating and keep on ticking. In fact I would describe MSU as a blue collar team with a fairly good skill set. Vic has these kids believing in themselves and the stars behind their names do not matter. To win this game the ladies need to bring their hard hats and lunch pail. We can't backdown, lack aggression or fear contact. Oregon walked into Starkville with their height, 5 stars and athletic family pedigrees and left town with their tails tucked between their legs like a whipped hound dog. We can win, but to do so, we must play much better than what we displayed in the Vandy game, have a good game plan, and most of all Holly has to be prepared to outcoach Vic. This is our chance to prove that we are a real top 25 team.

Would that be Vic (as in Vic Shaefer), or do you know something about his personality that is pertinent?

Gule, just thought, you know where our seats are. If you stay, go on down and have a seat. We may or may not be there. Hope we are. CoachJ will probably be in one too if he gets to come.

Aww, you are the greatest, Smallvol.

In about 5 minutes I'll be south bound and trucking. Wifey said my parole is up and she wants me home...lol

I've done about as much good as I can for my sister with her move. She only has a few things left to do.

It was a good trip back home and I really enjoyed the ball game. Hope they can hang with MSU on Sunday and pull it out in the end.

Keep Coach J on his toes! GULE :)

There's a triple header on the Big 10 Network with Ohio State and Michigan playing first. Ohio State plays so out of control. Kelsey Mitchell basically does whatever she wants. It's no plays ran and mostly one on one. I can't understand why any elite post player would want to go there. Muvunga and McCoy are basically rebounding the guards misses. People complain about Diamond, but she doesn't take nearly as many shots as Kelsey Mitchell.

When has diamond had a bad attitude? I've never saw her argue with any refs, coaching staff or teammates. I think you are confusing passion & desire to win with having bad attitude.

Maybe it is passion, but sometimes she allows bad calls to affect her play or if she misses a shot. I think she has a great passion for the game and her attitude towards ref calls and missed shots have changed a lot this year. It is just an observation from watching this year as compared to last year. I really want her to challenge MSU on offense because she has the ability to take over a game. She has all the ability to be tenacious defender. I don't think we have seen her best. I would like to see her display that take charge leadership she displayed her freshman year.

Alright Diamond,

Full effort, on offense and defense,
Every game,
Every minute,

Never giving less than your all

That is what defines a real superstar.

I don't think her attitude is bad but I do think that she has sometimes let her frustrations affect her play, especially last season. I don't see that this season.
