Agreed on all points. I'll add, as somebody who has spent weekends for years trying to kill turkeys, they are not noble animals. They are paranoid creatures that wake up in a whole new world every 12 seconds.Standard time Is the official time of the Angels. Daylight Saving Time is Satan Spawn Time, the stupidest idea of Benjamin Franklin next to wanting the Turkey as the National Symbol
So what you are saying is that while Turkeys would not have been good National Symbols, they would still for perfectly as the Symbuof the Democrat Party?Agreed on all points. Yes it does, the sunlit portion of the day is exactly as long as it would have been otherwise. Do you really think that the duration of the sunlit part of the day was one hour longer Sunday then it was Saturday? Did the earth suddenly decide to slow its rotation once the sun came up Sunday?
What about all my car clocks, alarm clocks, battery wall clocks, wristwatches, and no connected coffee makers, microwaves, and home appliances? All of my electronics allow me to choose whether to have DST.

And the connected electronics are only as good as the OS patches Applied. Every time the government changes the time change dates (happened just a few years ago), if you do not apply the latest patch in time, your electronics will be wrong (except for phones which can grab the local time from the nearest cell tower). Also it depends on your Location. Taking your laptop on a business trip to Arizona in summer? Better reset your clock manually because your computer isn’t aware of the differing laws? Going to Europe? DST (or summer time as they call it there, hasn’t started yet.
The point is that you have to remember to do it You shouldn’t have to worry about such things. Modern life is complicated enough. The least the government can do is making timekeeping simpler.I am not sure where you're going with all the manual type clock comments.
Most of my electronics I would take to arizona have a box that I can check to apply or not apply DST.
I am pretty sure that most of us here though can relate to at few times when we have glanced at a non internet enabled clock somewhere in the home or office (those cheap AA battery wall clocks being the worst) a week or two after the time chance and gotten the wrong time, missing a meeting or appointment. It’s not the ones that update themselves that get you, it’s the ones you assume have been updated that haven’t. Single year round time standard does away with that stress.I cannot say with certainty, but most seem to have that option.
