Super Bowl XLI Thread: Colts vs Bears

I unno I guess it's all a matter of taste, but I thought His Royal Purple Badness was an upgrade to the wardrobe malfunction:birgits_giggle:

Oddly enough, I thought Prince did a pretty decent job as far as halftime shows go.

Prince was pretty good, as halftime shows go. But even a good halftime show is goofy.

There is a ton to make fun of, but one for sure was Shula walking the trophy down the line. He looked like a goober and there was nothing exciting about it.

Don Shula's act as trophy gopher was painful to watch . . . Almost as painful as watching Jim Nantz try to pretend to be excited about giving away a Cadillac to a multi-millionaire.

Yea the list is endless. Peyton winning a Cadillac is like me winning a Snickers.

Not only winning the Cadillac, but being handed the car keys to hold awkwardly along with the Lombardi trophy. I was thinking "Ya know Jim . . . that uniform doesn't have pockets."

I was thinking that exact same time frame in my head. It just seems to keep getting worse though. Like a run away train. Some people in marketing don't seem to get the concept that bigger is not always better. I hope at some point someone comes along and pulls in the reigns on this crap. Shula looked like a goober?....geez you don't cuss in front of kids, you don't talk in a mens restroom , and you never diss Coach Shula in my presence!:bash: :salute:

:birgits_giggle:Sorry Dan.

Just saw where Rex Grossman was 20 for 28 passing. Has there ever been an uglier 20-28 in the history of the world?

No. I thought their entire offensive game plan was atrocious. It didn't seem like they played to their strengths at all. Maybe the Colts D is just that good.

That's the same way they've played all year long. Tonight they just turned the ball over.

I think the mass media cringes everytime the Colts say "God". The may have given credit to God more times than any champion I have seen.

like 6 of those completions were at the very end when everyone was just waiting for the game to end.

I was thinking I remembered some bad relation to a Snickers commerical when I wrote that. But I don't remember the commercial?
It was the two guys working on a car engine under the hood of a car and they both were chewing on a Snickers from both ends until they met in the middle and said "I think we just kissed" and then had to do something manly like ripping chest hairs out. :whistling:

This was the 4th or 5th game of the year where the Bears had 4+ turnovers. They didn't deviate from their gameplan too much.
