Super Regionals/World Series

Naw, was talking about the number of wins in proportion to the number of championships they've won.

Clint Myers has accomplished as much in four years at Auburn as Tennessee has in the last 15.

In case you missed it, Auburn also lost, and is also not going to Omaha!

Good season girls. Supers might just be the ceiling for this particular group. Offense was not as good as last year, pitching not as deep and we still made it as far. Make a few tweaks, add a few players, blow up a few swings and completely rebuild them and we can get over the hump next year

Wasn't meant to be this time. I enjoyed watching them this year and we are looking forward to them coming to Columbia again next year.

Blowing leads in back-to-back games on your home field to a program that's been below .500 in conference play the last three years...

If it were Oklahoma, Arizona, etc. I could stomach it. Not with a program like Texas A&M.

Is there a nicer word than "chokers" to describe this team? If so...I guess it applies since we don't want to be too harsh on the young ladies. They blew TWO different 3 run leads with everything on the line. Pretty much describes almost every team in every sport this year.

I remember the good ole days...waaaaay back when....when Vols would fight back. Nowadays they all just fold like a cheap suit when the chips are down.

Even though I think we were better than A&M, I think this team overachieved this year. We need to add one more pitcher and find a way to replace Gregg's production. Do that and we should be back to playing for championships.

No Gregg is not going anywhere but we need her to duplicate her production which is asking her to do a whole lot. The truth of the matter is she is the only HR threat we have period!!! Vines has power but no a HR threat as one would have it. We need so big hitters which we don't have and we don't have any I saw coming in next yeari don't believe. We have got to get a first baseman who can hit and catch and a catcher to do the same. Those positions have to be filled by someone and I don't see anyone on the team to just flat out take them Seggern will handle 3rd but she needs a whole lot of hitting practice. Replacing Geer will be no problem at all and with the lefty pitcher we will be better next year which is not saying we will make it as far or farther than this year. JMHO:)

What difference does it make what their record was 3 years ago or 2 years ago. We played them THIS year

Another winnable game lost. The only good thing today was Arnold showing that she is a competitor by keeping AtM where they were. Still a good year for our Ladies.

WOW come back here and still see people complaining...geez guys

Jeff and I said at the beginning of the season the team is young...they exceeded expectations which says a lot I did not have them hosting a super at the end of the season...going on a 20 game winning streak...taking series from LSU & A&M on the road...taking the series against bama...and beating FL with their pitching staff...the experience Moss and Arnold got at this point in the season will only help towards next season and they'll be able to pass that knowledge onto Sprang....I'm excited about next season....Can't wait!

PS thank you Megan Geer for giving your all to the LV's!!! Good luck in the NPF

I think what has a lot of UT fans so frustrated is that other programs keep passing us by. Upstarts SCAR and Miss St have jetted past us in WBB, Ole Miss softball just won their first SECT on our home field while we were beaten first game and now we just handed aTm their first trip to the WCWS, again on our home field in front of a record crowd of LV fans expecting the 8 seed to win. LVs used to dominate in women's sports. Now we watch other coaches move their programs ahead of ours "this year" while we talk about "next year".

Every year is next year at UT. Problem is, next year always seems to be a year away.

Point being that it's another statistically inferior SEC program achieving more than us.

While we're cranking out SEC Player of the Years, other programs (ahem, Auburn, Ole Miss) are finding a way to snag trophies, while still others (ahem, LSU, Texas A&M) find a way to advance deeper than UT.

:eek:lol:You have got to be kidding me....I come back here and start seeing stuff like this???

I suppose I'm just antsy for a trophy. I shouldn't take it out on the softball girls considering expectations.

I mean, when was the last time a Tennessee team won a postseason trophy? Lady Vols at the 2014 SEC Tournament?

You don't think I should be concerned that programs like Ole Miss and Auburn -- which were abominations prior to their most recent hires -- have more titles in the last three years than the Weeklys have in 15?

why don't they show the home plate strike zone with a computer generated box like they used to do?

Need to start showing up some of these incompetent umps.

Good gosh no....the weeklys are the best thing to happen at Tennessee thankfully for them and their drive to succeed....after what Holly has done to our women's basketball program no one can complain about softball no one....Ole Miss wouldn't have won the SEC tourney if Florida cared about that tourney but they don't....Auburn and what clint has done is awesome...he was a good coach in the Pac so expecting anything less would be crazy

Wouldn't have, shouldn't have, but Ole Miss did.

Just pointing out that Tennessee has settled in as a very-good-but-not-great program in the conference since 2011.

Love the Weeklys and what they've done for us but we're certainly well below the conference elite of Alabama and Florida while the tide of Auburns and LSUs is rising quickly around us.

Next year is an important year. They need to bring some hardware home.

Looking forward to next year.....all we need is :

A dominant pitcher ( maybe the lefty freshman will fill the bill)
Five more players who can hit the ball.
