None of my family or friends have said anything remotely close to it. I think some of you are just quick to jump on "Evangelicals".

I think the fact he's a moderate may have had more to do with it.

Was there some that said "No way I'm voting for a Mormon"? Probably, but that wasn't the prevailing factor here. No one here trusts Romney.

I don't believe it was the prevailing determinate, but folks down here are clearly more comfortable with Santorum. Religion is part of these candidate's make up, just as much as voting record. I think it affects the southern vote more than exit polls reflect.

Nope....I are one. I do not think you know just how deep the beliefs are in the Bible belt.

Good God I can't believe Santorum is gathering this many votes. The man should have dropped out about when Bachmann did. But he rebounded well. I loathe the man's positions, but I applaud his ability to stay consistent and not terrible throughout the debates. He ran a pretty good campaign. That being said, he's still a terrible candidate who caught fire being the anti-Romney at the right moment. He hit the NOS just right.

And lol at Mrs. Romney thinking women care about jobs, they should be caring about my dinner being ready when I get home.

Who is jumping on evangelicals? Agree or disagree, I have way more respect for an evangelical that chooses to draw the line at religion, than a voter who only votes party lines.

I've just noticed over the years the term Evangelicals is used to point out what's wrong with a particular subject. My mistake if I singled you out, wasn't my intention.

Romney had a lot going against him in Tennessee from the beginning, liberal background, mormon, white collar. He punted the state, a smart move considering.

God I can't believe Tennessee went Santorum. Of course I decided to speak my mind this go around and voted Paul as he really best fits my views of the candidates that are left. But Santorum? Seriously? He's a pro life Ted Kennedy... really don't need 4 more years of fiscal craziness...

Santorum is moderate except when it comes to social issues.

I really hope the GOP gets their act together. If Santorum wins the nomination, it will be a slaughter. If Romney wins, it will be a slightly less gory slaughter come November. And I am hoping for a good race, because I follow this stuff feverishly.

Like him or hate him, every time Santorum is thought to be finished, he comes back.

I certainly like this election better than '08. And I voted for Romney in the primary then.

He has a small lead in Ohio, like 2 pct with just over half in. And that is after being outspent I heard by like 6 to 1. Got to give him credit for simple grass roots campaigning.

This is the worst crop of republican candidates I can remember. It's a shame they can't capitalize from the momentum of the mid-term elections.
