Supernatural

I haven't watched the show at all; I was considering buying past seasons. I've seen about 15 minutes of one episode, and it was interesting. When I did a little research, though, there are all sorts of references to Windigo's and an escaped mental patient with a hook and a serial killer clown.

So I don't know what to make of it. Is this a battle between angels and demons, or is it silliness over urban legends?

Yes and yes. Theres a main arc storyline that starts with the brothers and his father avenging his wife's death by a demon which sets up this ongoing saga.
Then they have stand alone episodes which cover more of the urban legends, mainly filler.

Thanks, that sort of makes some sense. It sounds a lot like the X-Files, where the alien gov't conspiracy permeated the show, but there were squirrely one-offs that broke it up.

I'm going to order something over the weekend to help fill time holding an infant on the couch in the middle of the night. Supernatural is still in the running, along with 24 and Battlestar Galactica, none of which I have seen.

For the most part you can't go wrong with any of those shows. 24 is sort of hit or miss for me, there are only so many times you can hear Jack yell "everybody down!" before it gets a tad old. BG is a very solid show until it just goes loco the final season. Good luck in whatever you choose.

So where would you start with Battlestar, the mini-series or season 1?

I guess it depends on IF you get into the show. The TV show was more entertaining than the mini, but it sets up alot of the storylines and introduces the characters going into the TV series. I say go with Season 1 and if it's something you enjoy, go back to the mini-series.

Tonight's episode "My Bloody Valentine". I don't think the title is a coincidence. Seeing that Jensen Ackles (dean) started in the 3-D big screen Version of it just a year or two ago. I bet they have some fun with that.

No hint of it in the preview clip thought. However I don't see these writers passing on the chance though.

Sam's powers have grow considerably after chowing down on some demon blood and having gone without for so long. I still beleive that this is certainly a possible way to oft Satan. Can't wait to see how it all plays out in that regard. Castille even was looking on in wide-eyed shock or amazement, either at the power or Sam's seemingly new found control over temptation. Certainly an upgrade on both accounts.

Good show last night. Not the first appearance of Zombies on the show but uniquely presented, close to home as it were. Death has yet to reveal himself. I wonder who will portray him? He most certainly sent bobby a message. Are Sam and Dean next, it will happen. The particulars are unknown but it is foretold.......

I did not catch the name of the director for this episode. But I noticed something new as far as approach. In the closet scene towards the end, a Zombie was shot and the blood splattered on the camera lens. Oh well thought it was cool anyway.

Caught an inside joke. Sam and Dean were talking about Zombies while trying to discover what the bad guys were. As they settled on the Zombie. Dean cracks "sure it must be Thursday(s).

Next week Angle interference, yet again.

Wow. Great episode.

So they have been killed many, many times. just not allowed to remember. Thought they were getting of easy with all those demons they have fought.

So this time they are told by god (through joshua)to back off and reminded that he knows everything. They are sent back to earth but allowed to remember and told that GOD is now on earth. Wonder who he is......"?"

Sam and dean find a town full of demon hunters based on there Christan faith.

Also looks like more "Ghost Facers" episodes are coming. I think the writers will use this as a way (eventually) to enlighten and turn the masses into demon killers and to aid in stopping Satan.

Another new demon to the show falls, the whore of Babylon. The false profit the bible describes....

Sense dean was able to kill her he now knows that he is an instrument of heaven. To which I say Duh!

It looks like he is going to say yes to Michael the Arc Angel......... I also wonder "who" stops him?

For as big a star as Micheal Shanks is on The SY-FY Channel his guest starring role was bare minimal. Makes him the perfect candidate to be God on earth.

It's on now. Arc Angle Micheal has a vessel (presumedly) so.

I love the show, but I don't have Season 2 yet and I don't want to ruin the series for me by getting too involved with what's going on currently.

Possibly the best episode of the entire series. Pivotal to extreme. Satan wipes the floor with demi-gods like Oden and kali. Loki ( Gaberial) saved kali but it cost him his life.

Sam and dean find out they can re-cage Satan and how and with what........

Thursday's episode was solid. Death is on board, actually gives SAM the ring (with a condition). The brothers now have all 4 rings of the horsemen. This next week's show is the season finale. "Lives will change forever and an unexpected death of a beloved character"............Should be a heck of a cliff-hanger.
