I hope Obama appoints Al Gore so I can see some heads explode in here.

That sounds about par for the course. I'm sure Gore has skipped on paying taxes and is altogether unqualified for the position. I'm with you, why break the streak?

Does anyone other than me think its ridiculous that we speak about Supreme Court justices and their potential replacements in terms of liberal and conservative? I don't think that was the intention of the Founding Fathers when they conceived the idea of the Supreme Court.

Personally I like #7, I always thought Satan would make a good supreme court justice.

Satan's appearance on the People's Court was less-than-stellar.

the Founders also couldn't envision a Justice looking to international laws or having "empathy". I'll take a conservative, constructionist judge who reads the Constitution for what it actually says over a liberal, activist judge who reads the Constitution for what it can say.
