Supreme Court kills affirmative action in university admissions

I will stop you there, because although it is a harsh thig to say about a black man, I do not believe it is racist.

Please watch this video from CNN below.

Rep. Bennie Thompson has been calling Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas an "Uncle Tom" for many years ... Obviously, Rep. Bennie Thompson is black.

Legitimate question.

Which definition of racism do you personally believe.

The traditional view That all races are capable of being racist.

Or

Or the more recent view being pushed That only white people can be racist because they hold institutional power.

Because if it’s the more recent view, of course Bennie Thompson can say that and it not be racist. If it’s the traditional view, your argument holds more merit.

Racist comment no matter the color. Then proceed to play racism in the next few questions. Seems he thrives off victimhood to keep his voters from thriving which is what Justice Thomas would like…for them to thrive.

When you were inebriated last night, you agreed repeating stupid things is stupid. Repeating racist things is racist, too.

I'm saying ... I don't know how you can accuse a black man (Bennie Thompson) of racial bias against another black man (Clarence Thomas) ...

Most of the time, when a black man is being referred to as an "Uncle Tom," it is a black person who is making the accusation. It is a harsh thing to say, but I don't consider it to be racist.

So because one black man said it to/about another black man it’s ok to use?

This should be fun.

So, you think that Bennie Thompson has a racial prejudice against Clarence Thomas? I will once again point out that Bennie Thompson is also black.

No ... I didn't say it was okay to use.

In fact, I have admitted that I shouldn't have said it. I apologized for saying it. I'm just saying that it isn't racist.

Harvard’s most famous Native American scholar Elizabeth Warren rages at Supreme Court decision to strike down affirmative action

"Warren, who previously claimed American Indian ancestry as far back as 1986 when she applied for the State Bar of Texas, was previously a professor at Harvard Law School.

Warren later apologized to the Cherokee Nation in 2019 after a DNA test showed she was as little as 1/1,024 Native American.

In 2012, when Warren first ran for the US Senate, her opponent Scott Brown, alleged that she had claimed Native American ancestry to use as an advantage while seeking employment. Though Warren and Harvard denied that her fabricated heritage gave her any advantages in her education or career, her then-employer Harvard Law School from 1995 to 2004 listed Warren as a Native American in federal affirmative action forms. Noted.

I’m just saying if someone adheres to the view that Non-Whites in America are incapable of racism, there is not really an argument to he had pertaining to the phrase “Uncle Tom” or any other derogatory term.

Seems like Africans were selling other Africans as slaves sometime well before that.
What does that have to do with anything? There has been inhumanity as long as there has been humanity.
I'm talking about the relay race within the USA.

Basically, I don't think that "Uncle Tom" has a racist component behind it. When Bennie Thompson calls Clarence Thomas an "Uncle Tom" what he is really doing is calling him a traitor. I think that is what it means.

Thomas committed the ultimate sin to a dem, as a black man he left the plantation. That’s why white libs like BB get away with calling him racists names.

So he’s a race traitor. Man, that’s Klan talk.
No, it's not. Like I said before, most of the time when a black man is called an "Uncle Tom," it is another black person who is saying it. They clearly mean it as being a "sellout", a "coward" or being a "traitor."

In Harriet Beecher Stowe's book "Uncle Tom's Cabin" ... Uncle Tom was subservient to white people. He wouldn't fight back when he was being unjustly abused.
