That is the case.I didn’t think I needed to.
I assumed the link showed that Jalen Rose had called Grant Hill that name because he viewed him as traitorous.
Is that not the case?
Take your lumps, and take solace in the fact that people apparently expect better of you because most of the people *****ing on you ignore the same **** from others on this forum, probably in this thread even. Or don’t. I don’t care. Expectations are easily amended.
Yes, there’s plenty of it on here.“It doesn’t have a racial component, he’s just betraying his race.”
you didn’t struggle with the wrongness of assuming dual loyalties based on immutable characteristics in this context.
You comprehend the wrongness of what you said and you’re embarrassing yourself trying to rationalize it with this tortured logic.
You were wrong. It’s gross. Full stop.

I am as far from a racist as one gets ... I am a liberal largely because I could only be a member of a party of diversity and inclusion. I'm against racism, sexism, anti-semitism and homophobia.
I am also against being a sellout. That's my problem with Clarence Thomas.
BB85 isn't a malignant racist. At worst, he is a benign racist. He got a little too caught up in the topic and pushed the boundary a bit. It happens. He is redeemable (in whatever way he needs redemption from his colleagues, here).
I don't know what can be done to enlighten the malignant racists who show out from time to time here.
The racism of hate has been replaced by the racism of pity. The racism I commonly see from leftist is what Charles Payne was talking about.
If you believe that acquiring an ID to vote is just too high of a hurdle for black people, you might be racist.
If you believe that basic expectations in school such as reading and being on time for class should be abolished for the sake of black kids, you might be racist.
The list goes on. It’s not direct racism in the way previous generations of black people in America really did experience. But considering an entire race of people simply too inept and/or too ignorant to do some of the most basic task in order to participate in a society is a form of racism.
“We’ll if you look at his decisions on the court. They have been adverse to the minority community. And the people I represent have an issue with an African American not being sensitive to those issues” - ThompsonI'm saying ... I don't know how you can accuse a black man (Bennie Thompson) of racial bias against another black man (Clarence Thomas) ...
Most of the time, when a black man is being referred to as an "Uncle Tom," it is a black person who is making the accusation. It is a harsh thing to say, but I don't consider it to be racist.
You haven't seen me in this forum until yesterday? This is where we will have to agree to disagree :
The unfair treatment of black students seeking a quality education still exists. They are in a system which is still tilted against them. They do not have equal opportunity with other races in this country. They never have. AA was an attempt to level the field.
If you don't agree with that? That's fine. You can put me on ignore. It won't hurt my feelings at all. I don't think I have even seen you in this forum before ... until yesterday.
I said there is no "racist" component behind it. Of course, it is racial in nature.
Once again, most of the time when a black man is called an "Uncle Tom," it is another black person who is saying it.
How do think Bennie Thompson means it, when he calls Clarence Thomas an "Uncle Tom," which he has done many times over the last 9 years. That CNN interview was from 2014 ... Thompson has been saying that about Thomas ever since. In fact, he said it again just yesterday.
The racism I commonly see from leftist is what Charles Payne was talking about.

What does that have to do with anything? There has been inhumanity as long as there has been humanity.
I'm talking about the relay race within the USA.
Come on man. We were talking about the supreme court rulling reversing affirmative action. You were talking about a "relay race" and when the "white team jumped" - didn't seem that you made it a US thing at all. There are probably several periods in history that meet the criteria ... assuming I understand your comment. However, if you historically get past the idiocy of the largely religious sponsored dark ages, the first big "white team" jump probably had to do with Europeans realizing they had to go out and get stuff they needed and couldn't produce at home ... sugar, tea, spices, etc. So if you look at that as a starting point, you can easily gravitate to European sponsored slavery in the Caribbean. African slaves sold by other Africans. You could also say the jump had to do with the end of serfdom in Europe, the rise of the business class having no allegiances to royal families and appointees, and the rise of industrialism ... all things related to nation building and counter to tribal cultures. By the time the US was settled, the people colonizing the US had the lust for individual independence and the nation building down, so I'd say it was still a European attribute imported with the colonizers.
Come on man. We were talking about the supreme court rulling reversing affirmative action.
We're talking about nothing but things specific to the US.
Ok - sure. The continuum didn't start today or yesterday, and it didn't start in a vacuum. The continuum is your baby, and basically you are saying events are never isolated; this isn't the time to start denying history. Besides 1756 or whatever the date you tossed out didn't have much to do with a SC decision on affirmative action.
Maybe slow down on your drinking. And I don't mean that in a condescending way. I've seen you talk about drunk posting before. It's not healthy. That is the case.
My whole point was ... I shouldn't have said it. I was drunk as hell last night and posting on here. I'm still hung over from it. However, I don't think that I was being racist.
... but I'm done with this topic. Go to the recruiting forum. We landed a 4 star WR today from South Carolina. Picked Tenn over Clemson. Nice pickup!
