Syria attack: Activists says dozens, including children, killed by gas

Had we shown more evidence of Assad using chemicals, besides thru social media videos, then our credibility may look better...

And by the same token...these missile videos aren't confirmed either...

So, I dunno...

Well we had to rush the strikes to distract from the Mueller investigation, so we probably skipped some steps to make little Donnie look presidential.

I do know that about 20 of the missiles that were launched were the JASSM-ERs which are the new stealth cruise missiles that they build here in Troy Alabama. First time we have ever used those.

Hard to imagine 50 yr old Soviet technology doing that much damage ...

Russia had to of helped, if so...

She was not convicted of committing any crimes. A multi year investigation led to nothing.

So you're saying she deserves the benefit of the doubt? And Trump has been convicted of what so far? But does not deserve the benefit of your doubt?

I think you're as guilty of Trump hate as many are of Clinton hate. And your hate extends to his whole family. I'll admit to really, really disliking Hillary, but I've got nothing against Bill or Chelsea. Considering he's married to Hillary, I have sympathy for Bill. Even though adultery is wrong, I actually understand it in his situation. And Chelsea, well, you don't get to choose your parents.

Maybe, but isn't that a tactic that has been used by Republican and Democrat Presidents alike? America, where we elect a President and spend his entire term "investigating" him.

I'm no one to argue that....but, they have invested billions into the S400, S500 and radar jamming(?) equipment for a reason, however...

And?

The U.S. and NATO have invested billions in tech to avoid those defenses. They build a better mousetrap, we build a smarter mouse.

Not saying theirs is better...just saying it's plausible to shoot down these missiles...agree?!

I don't think there is that wide of a gap...

Plausible to shoot down some of them? Sure.

2/3rds of the missiles fired were intercepted? C'mon...

I'm skeptical of that....especially with Syria using the S125, S200, Buk, Pantsir air defense systems...

That would be concerning to say the least...

No....I don't believe those systems intercepted 2/3 of the missiles...

No way they got even a quarter of them. I’m guessing the B-1s launched JDAMs but they might have used ALCMs don’t know. The ships definitely used Tomahawks. And a Tomahawk is a very difficult target to acquire much less shoot down. I’d think a lucky shot from a ZSU-23-4 due to direct overflight would have a better chance of downing a Tomahawk.

Haley said yesterday that there would be new Russian sanctions announced today.

Putin's waterboy, Trump, blocked them.

I think the Bones launched JAASMs

And someone brought up the S500, I don't think they have even put that in the field yet, but dunno. S400 is an impressive system, but I don't know where they have them but their range is around 400 - 500 km.

I dont believe even a third of them were shot down, simply because I trust our tech...but I just looked at specs on both the tomahawk and jassm...they both cruise subsonic. SAM systems launch missiles to intercept that go mach 4 plus, right? So are our missiles so stealthy that they can't see them coming, or do we just fry all their radar first...or what? I know back in the day we used f4gs I believe and then f15Es to go in and take out the radar installations for the SAMs before conventional fighters and bombers would attack...then Baghdad happened and we used stealth bombers to knock out all that stuff first...I just don't know what we do to make sure subsonic missiles can get thru these days? Yall have any ideas? EMP pulse? Or radar jamming?

Read that they have S400’s but how effective are they going to be against a JAASM or Tomahawk? Come cruising in at 10kft MSL sure they can indeed light you up. Low altitude interdiction? Would they even have enough acquisition time to get a launch off?
