Tajh Boyd to redshirt

Bray would probably beat him out, but still having one QB with experience on this roster would at least make this season a little smoother

I don't think I've read anywhere any defense of Tajh Boyd that suggested he would have helped us this year, yet that seems to be the most popular defense for not taking him.

He could have redshirted here too, learned the offense, and been competition (real competition not Nick Lamaison competition which isn't any real threat) for Nick Stephens in the spring.

Nick Stephens and Tajh Boyd? Who are they?

FAIL!!!

People need to get over this kid. he isnt the second coming of Manning he couldnt even win the #2 spot at clemson.

I thought Manning didn't even win the #2 spot when he was here...wasn't Jerry Colquit #1 and Todd Helton #2?

Apparently you haven't followed him closely...if Parker leaves Michael Wade will likely start over Boyd. Boyd cannot pickup the playbook.

He's Jonathan Crompton without the NFL talent. I've been saying he's overrated ever since I joined the board.

I love going back and reading the Fulmerite babble about how great Boyd was and what a mistake Kiffin made in telling him to look elsewhere.

Kiffin could've kept Boyd and never signed Lamaison
So? Practice squad quality is practice squad quality. Just because some recruiting gurus were silly enough to slap a high ranking on a guy with a shot knee and a football IQ of 50 doesn't change that.

It wouldn't hurt to have kept him. Much rather have him on roster than James Choy's boy.

Why? So our ignorant fans could babble about how a top 100 recruit wasn't getting a fair shot? Hell, people complained about Coleman leaving. I'd have hated to have seen the reaction when Boyd transferred to Furman.

The odds of his five star ranking causing an elite recruit concern now appear to be better than the odds of him contributing.

I think you know everyone on VN's answer to that question. I think he's implying if it came down that far on the depth chart Boyd would be more dangerous than Lamaison

If it came that far on the depth chart, several lines in the UT record books would be rewritten. Not in a good way either.
