I am no fan of Kiffin, but why would he keep Boyd with no intention of using him in his style of offense? He ultimately did what was best for the player by telling him to look elsewhere. Lamaison is nothing but a practice squad reserve player. Boyd was expecting to compete for a starting job. There is your difference.

I would have like to have him in the event that Bray and/or Sims gets hurt.. Hopefully Bray has been eating some pecan rolls and put on a little weight as I am a little worried about him getting hammered if he plays and the line is as bad as everyone says it is.. Of course our line didn't exactly dominate last year, but at least they held their own sometimes.. How many walkons did we have starting on the OL last year? Was it 2 (the twins)?
