Tajh Boyd

Boyd is going to make his decision tomorrow. Figured it was still worth reporting for those interested.

CollegeFootballTalk.com - 5-STAR QB DOWN TO THREE SCHOOLS

Tajh Boyd has apparently narrowed his list of choices down to three schools: Ohio State, Clemson and Oregon.

At the Tuesday presser, the paper is reporting, Boyd — a five-star quarterback from Virginia — will place three hats in front of him. He will then don one of the caps to signify his school of choice.

We are hearing from our “peeps” (hey, if the New York Daily News can have ‘em, so can we) in Columbus that there is a heavy lean from Boyd in the direction of the Buckeyes. However, those very same people say, Boyd has seemingly changed his mind multiple times over the course of this recruiting process, and that even his announcement tomorrow will mean almost nothing until he officially puts pen to a Letter of Intent.

Boyd really could have just came to UT and either proved himself capable of being the QB or taken the advice of the NFL coaches we have that playing another position would be his best career move.

Boyd must have problems telling people no.

People from Clemson, OSU, and Oregon have all said that Boyd has told the coaches for each team that he's going to their school.

The only honest person in any of the Boyd recruiting appears to be CLK.

tOSU could be honest and tell him that he might even be good enough to win the Heisman as a QB there, but he'll warm the planks in the League thereafter. Thus, they are simply serving his short-term interests and using him to meet theirs. Clemson and Oregon... who cares? Neither is a major supplier of NFL talent.

These guys who have the talent really should be thinking about making the most of their opportunities to better themselves for the NFL. If that means playing another position or proving you really do fit someone's system, then so be it.

C'mon he could be the next Joey Harrington..... I can see the billboard in Times Square now....

this kid and his diddy are making this process an absolute MESS

..............just got an e-mailing saying in the last 24 hours Boyd has called and committed to both Oregon and Ohio State.

Now this morning daddy was quoted as saying they like Clemson.

I don't see why he would go to OSU unless they plan on redshirting him. Pryor is the starter for the next 3 years.

He's probably gonna redshirt wherever he goes, but if he went to OSU he would back up Pryor for 2 years and then start most likely. OSU has no backup QB's at this point IIRC

He played the 4th Q last night, was ineffective, but will be there man next year. After Kiffy said "no thanks" to him, I'm sure he will have Cam Newton like #'s next year...

Slow down there cowboy. Not saying Boyd won't be good, even great, but if he puts up 20 and 20 next year at CLEMSON, I'll eat my shoe.
