Take a moment to appreciate that 8-4 is basically worst case for a down year

Boys...uga will walk into a hornets nest. If you're still not hopeful for a 10-2 then please reconsider. And, since I am more convinced than ever that the sec predetermines games, us at 10-2, Bama and uga at 11-1, gives them more control and say so when bowl season rolls around. Always...always follow the $.
An undefeated regular season for uGA is the best case for the SEC. Otherwise, they could very well get shut out of the CFP.

With a real shot at 9-3…Just a few years ago we’d celebrate 9-3, this year after losing our Heisman contender QB, a first round right tackle, our top 2 WRs…You get the idea.

Stoked for the next couple years with a full team of Heup’s talent and a QB that was essentially hand picked for his offense that has had time to learn the offense and grow into his body.

The future is bright Vol fans.
I, too, have been delusional and did not take into account the losses of personnel that made us so good last year. I thought we could mirror last year's success without any qualms. I think what hurt this year is the close games for teams we should have beaten handily and the losses to FL and BAMA that should have been wins. Sloppy play, errant passes, and questionable playcalling have all added up to disappointment, blaming, and shaming.

It was so easy to blame JM for all of our troubles and he made a good whipping boy (or man in this case). But enough blame was there for everyone, from coaches to players.

High hopes can cloud common sense. We do not have all the right people in place to take down the big guys. We are close, but not there yet.

Like say, I thought we were going to have a down year when Peyton left, we went undefeated.

Chris Low said if we lose to KY, it’s a 7 win season. I agree
Very true, but it's about what I expected to start the season. Bright side is that it will be Nico's coming out party going forward if they lose tomorrow night.
