Unsure if anyone posted about this or not, but I thought it was interesting that we let the game expire without trying to punch it in. It was the right thing to do and since we had a 20 page discussion about whether you should run up the score or not I thought I'd mention it.

I think it was a classy move against Kentucky. Now if this was Vanderbilt or Alabama then punch that one in.

The game was over and so is the season. Running up the score does nothing for us at this point. If it was the first game of the season and we were trying to impress the computer models for ranking that would be different.

If it's earlier in the year, punch it in regardless of who it is. You want the players to have that kill mentality. Last game of year, take a knee avoid any injuries that could happen.

It was classy. We've had a couple of teams show mercy on us this year, so we just returned the favor to someone else.

You also can't get anyone injured just taking a routine knee to win the game. Well, maybe if you are playing a Greg Schiano coached team, but we weren't.

Agree the knee was the right thing to do, but next year we keep the foot on the gas pedal until time expires on Vandy, even if we are beating them by 30.... just sayin..... That is still the only one that still stings with me this year.

I put our taking of the knee in the "act like you've been there before" category.

But it's been a while since we've been there

* I don't think the computer polls factor in margin of victory for that very reason.

With no bowl possibilities you take a knee. There is no reason to give Stoops locker room material next year against us. Never thought I would say that about Kentucky.

Although you could also argue that since Stoops was saying how this is the SEC and a rivalry game, playing to score at any point in the game is allowed.

No reason to rub it in there. It was the right thing to do. If it was Bama, i say punch it in and go for 2.

Correct thing to do.
