I think it was hilarious as an ex official to see the referee go to spot the ball then realize there was about 5 seconds too many and held the ball with one hand while bending over and didnt spot it until it was below the 40 second mark.

we were actually 3yds from the endzone but it was still the right call. We do something stupid with the ball (like 2003 UGA game) and they are a TD away from winning with around 2 min left. Taking a knee eliminates all of that

That makes it even more of a stupid decision to take a knee. Even if we had turned the ball over and they scored they still would have lost.
